I’ve heard a lot of different opinions on tomato pruning, but here’s my method to pruning determinate tomatoes to enhance their productivity and overall health 💫

Step 1️⃣: Wait until they reach a height of 12-18” and have a few sets of leaves (and flowers!) before pruning.

Step 2️⃣: Identify the first cluster of flowers, then remove any suckers on branches BELOW this point. This will help promote better airflow and prevent any low-hanging fruit that will end up rotting on the ground.

Step 3️⃣: Remove any other stems that are hanging down low. These can increase the risk of disease from soil splashing up on the leaves when it rains.
