ANKHIALE (Anchiale) was the Titan goddess of the warming heat of fire. She was the wife of Hekateros (Hecaterus), Titan-god of hands, and the mother of the metal-working Daktyloi (Dactyls), "the Fingers." These rustic deities together represented the power of the human hand to create and utilise fire. Ankhiale's brother, Prometheus, famously stole fire from heaven for man. She is the daughter of Minos, king of Crete, and Pasiphae. The Bibliotheca calls her Acalle (Greek: Ἀκάλλη).[ Goddess Brigid, Irish Prayer, Fire Goddess, Oh My Goddess, Celtic Goddess, Celtic Mythology, Sacred Feminine, The Shield, Ancient Times
