A small isolated abandoned farmhouse in Southern Waikato. . FW Gorden (refer photo link below) thinks that it is a railway worker's house. This is very likely as it is very close walking distance to the Main Trunk railway. . PhilBee NZ (refer photo link below) says that there was once a thriving little village in this location of 20-30 homes

3 Haines Terrace. The house has a dilapidated front exterior, but otherwise appears to be solid and well maintained, and not abandoned. This photo is taken from Mt Pleasant Road. Haines Tce has pedestrian only access from Holloway Road. The house also appears to have access from Carey Street that winds up the hill from Holloway Road.

Old house, SH60 (Appleby Highway), Richmond, Nelson, New Zealand

A prominent house along the highway. An older photo uploaded by "travelling light", shows that the house was on a stock (probably sheep) farm. I visited the house next door, and also noted that the view of the house from that side, showed that the house was probably largely clad in wood. The corrugated iron added on top. It is certainly unique, with its patchwork rust/iron coat!
