The registry was formed 80's but crossing these two breeds is not a new idea. The goal is to combine the best qualities of both breeds. NSH is a showy, beautiful horse, high-stepping if needed but very versatile, not only a show horse. Usually they're chestnuts, bays, blacks or grays but also tobianos and some rarer colors occur.
