- Question excuse my naive question, but should this property really be on forms, or should it rather be used on the lexeme itself? -- Duesentrieb (talk) 12:17, 24 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Duesentrieb: I think data associated with pronounciation should be placed on forms. --Okkn (talk) 10:32, 25 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Okkn, Mxn: I propose to merge this with the #Vietnamese character reading pattern proposal below. Deryck Chan (talk) 14:47, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Deryck Chan, Mxn: Relations are similar, but is there any merit to create a generalized property for them? Unlike stroke count (P5205), the allowed values of these properties are completely different for each languages. I think they should be separatedly created. --Okkn (talk) 17:47, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Okkn: I think there is merit, because we can widen the scope of this property to cover other CJKV languages, most notably the literary and colloquial readings of Chinese characters (Q2619693) phenomenon (that will require two new items, one for 文讀 and another for 白讀) in Southern Chinese languages, without creating separate properties for each language. Deryck Chan (talk) 18:19, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- @Deryck Chan: I was misunderstanding that only Japanese and Vietnamese have the multiple reading patterns of Han characters. Now I can agree with you about the need for the generalized property! --Okkn (talk) 18:41, 29 May 2018 (UTC)

- @Okkn: could you replace the links to wiktionary with links to the corresponding forms? − Pintoch (talk) 11:03, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Pintoch: I have created corresponding lexemes and linked to them. Best regards, --Okkn (talk) 12:19, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
@Duesentrieb, Afaz, Was a bee, Deryck Chan, NMaia, Okkn: @Pintoch: Done: sinogram reading pattern (P5244). − Pintoch (talk) 12:39, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Okkn: sorry for asking you to create these lexemes, it was so that we could add examples to the property, but that is currently impossible because of https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T195615. − Pintoch (talk) 12:47, 4 June 2018 (UTC)
