•  Question With the addition of this property, wouldn't all university bibliographies potentially qualify for their own properties in the future, even if they don’t contain new information? After all, the works already appear to be linked to SWB/K10plus, and through that, to WorldCat. For example, 96327 can be sufficiently linked through 074300121 (SWB editions (P1044)), 1144300126 (K10plus PPN ID (P6721)), and 313218873 (OCLC control number (P243)).   Thanks for the question. Imho each type of linkage offers advantages if it leads to a citable source.

  1. The University Bibliography Tübingen is well-suited as a source reference and it often contains unique informations. (I use the databases of the university for example to find the doctoral adviser or the complete text of a thesis.)
  2. This bibliography is not identical with other databases, even if the German National Library, union catalogues or WorldCat take over parts of the information. When I quote a source, I want to refer to the original if possible.
  3. Some works are linked to other cataloges but not all. If the text is part of a book, a lecture etc. it is not included in K10plus (Q100884768).
  4. Last not least a reason for the proposal was that URLs have changed several times in similar cases since Wikidata was founded. Only the ID is stable.
