Motivation

As part of the National Research Data Infrastructure (Q61658497) (NFDI) the Consortium for Research Data on Material and Immaterial Cultural Heritage NFDI4Culture (Q98276929) (NFDI4Culture) aims to establish an infrastructure for research data ranging from architecture, art history and musicology to theatre, dance, film and media studies.

In order to depict the collaborative effort and consortium’s network every entity receives its own unique persistent identifier, a NFDI4Culture ID.

The NFDI4Culture entities (e.g. Person, Organization, Publication, Event, Service, NewsArticle, Dataportal, Role, Software et al.) hold information on the semantic relations within the network as well as a brief description and metadata, e.g. name, type, ORCID, GeoReference, URL, DOI, license et al. All records are available via the Culture Information Portal API. The records' metadata can be retrieved in the formats, RDF/XML, Turtle, N-Triples, JSON-LD, by adding the suffix /about.html to the NFDI4Culture ID, e.g. https://nfdi4culture.de/resource/E1873/about.html. – HeiEditsh (talk) 10:59, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
