Motivation
[edit]The Ming Qing Women's Writings (MQWW) database contains digital resources and metadata on collections of Chinese women's writings held in the participating libraries that were mainly published during the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties. This bilingual database (in both English and Traditional Chinese) provides a research portal for people who are interested in Chinese women's literature, history, and culture. Each author is assigned a poetID, which can be used to enrich the Chinese women poets and writers' Wikidata pages and supplement the China Biographical Database (CBDB) ID (P497).
