Comment
[edit]The format of the identifier starts with the era year of the text (Heisei era (Q234510) (H) or Reiwa era (Q62609017) (R))
Motivation
[edit]An identifier for a range of Japan-related items (and yet-to-be-created items, eg [2]), somewhat promotional in nature but in principle reliable (Japan Tourism Agency (Q6157871) is an agency of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (Q1376196)), and valuable not least for its multilingual nature (currently Japanese, English, and Chinese; "tagengo-db" (多言語) leaves open the possibility of additional language support in the future); thank you, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 17:28, 14 July 2024 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Support database website seems useful for visitors ArthurPSmith (talk) 13:59, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- Support informative. whoever left the language selector in nihongo should take another class in webdesign. anyways, formatter url for english is https://www.mlit.go.jp/tagengo-db/en/$1.html and should probably be marked with preferred rank. Infrastruktur (talk) 14:20, 16 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Maculosae tegmine lyncis, ArthurPSmith, Infrastruktur: Done as JTA Sightseeing Database ID (P12907). Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 06:26, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @ZI Jony, ArthurPSmith, Infrastruktur: it transpires that texts dating to Reiwa 4 (2022), such as [3] and [4], end ,html instead of .html - I tried to amend JTA Sightseeing Database ID (P12907) by adding applies if regular expression matches (P8460), but either have done so incorrectly or this does not seem to work (as apparent if you click on the JTA identifier on either Dōtonbori (Q964876) or Iriomote leopard cat (Q122917827) ((but) see ?)). Short of contacting JTA requesting standardization of the format (which may take some time, if agreed to), would it be best to adjust the Formatter URL to https://www.mlit.go.jp/tagengo-db/$1html (ie, include the "." or "," in $1), or https://www.mlit.go.jp/tagengo-db/$1 (and include ,html / .html in $1)? Thanks, Maculosae tegmine lyncis (talk) 14:01, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- @Maculosae tegmine lyncis, usually formatter URL takes maximum 48 hours to work! If, that's work then we will change formatter URL to
https://www.mlit.go.jp/tagengo-db/$1
