InciWeb
[edit]Originally proposed at Wikidata:Property proposal/Natural science
Description | InciWeb is the United States federal website that provides data related to wildfires on federal land, including day to day updates on the status of the fire, location, damage, fire crew work, photographs, videos, closures, announcements and more. Each incident (fire) has its own incident number. This would allow us to ensure each wildfire has a link to its appropriate InciWeb page. All InciWeb information is public domain under United States federal law. |

Motivation
[edit]I write a lot about wildfires, and I'm sure the folks at Wikipedia's Wildfire Project would appreciate this, too. It is just another data source for Wikidata and the Wikimedia Community. Thank you for your consideration! (I don't really know if this is the right section for this, I was sort of at a loss on where to put it!) Missvain (talk) 04:27, 25 June 2020 (UTC)
