Precise matching
[edit]Hi Mr. Angelov,
I am a user and big fan of GF. But please don't do messy matches like
- Hum, Buzet (Q657683) (town in Croatia) ←→ 08039725-n HUM, Harkat ul-Mujahedeen
- Ukko (Q844965)
--Digital Grammars (talk) 19:40, 7 June 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry for that! These were definitely mistakes. I have checked all the items that I import now, but out of 25 000 items there are due to be some mistakes. I have fixed them now. Thanks for pointing out the mistakes. Kr.angelov (talk) 04:44, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Hello, I also fixed ice hockey stick (Q1121249). Anyway, what do you mean exactly by adding references like this one? --Horcrux (talk) 11:18, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ice hockey. Do you mean the reference "stated in: GF WordNet"? My intention was to document where the data comes from. Kr.angelov (talk) 11:43, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

That change is faulty
[edit]Hello,
This change links to a noun, not Pericles. It must be removed.
The same elsewhere for the 04191744-n synset identifier

- Fixed! Thanks! Kr.angelov (talk) 13:50, 8 June 2022 (UTC)
Images in items about chemical compounds
[edit]The whole batch of yours have to be reverted. You did not take into account that in chemical compounds images are added as chemical structure (P117) not as image (P18)! As a result you have created hundreds of redundant and in fact incorrect statements. Many people from Wikiproject Chemistry spent thousands of hours to clean up most of items about chemical compounds and correctly place different images into image (P18), chemical structure (P117) and image of molecular model or crystal lattice model (P8224), myself included, and I won't spent another hundreds of hours to clean up the mess you have created. I expect you to clean up after yourself. Wostr (talk) 18:34, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- I will take care. Sorry for the inconvenience. Kr.angelov (talk) 18:43, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- I have the list of statements for the quickstatements tool but is there another way to revert than just running the same batch with "-" everywhere? Kr.angelov (talk) 20:10, 10 June 2022 (UTC)
- In this situation, I don't know if there is any other solution, maybe except for running the bot (but this would take much more time). However, in the future you can use the batch mode (run in background). This way you have always an unique ID of your batch with an option to revert the whole batch (by you or an admin). Plus, after starting you can forget about the batch and turn off the computer, as every edit is done via Wikimedia server. Wostr (talk) 20:22, 10 June 2022 (UTC)

Lost Synsets
[edit]Hi Krasimir,
the synset for guilt is lost!-- Holly Flax (talk) 17:59, 24 September 2022 (UTC)
Names, batches, a lot of errors
[edit]Your latest batches contain a lot of errors. In a couple of Asian languanges (like zh, ko) the family name stands first. Problematic is also Icelandic. Florentyna (talk) 09:46, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
Please stop your upcoming name batches
[edit]Exclude at least zh (incl. HKG, MAC, TWN), ko, vi, is from the batches. Florentyna (talk) 09:54, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
Can you also stop doing Japanese names? You are adding the wrong ones all over the place making it much harder to find and fix them. —Xezbeth (talk) 10:06, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
Name about Roman people are also completely wrong, since they use instead Roman praenomen (P2358), Roman nomen gentilicium (P2359) and Roman cognomen (P2365). I am seeing that you are also adding name to Qid that are instance of (P31)notname (Q1747829) or whose label start with "Saint" - obviously not a name. I am really pondering about reverting your batches, and you still got two more to run. --Jahl de Vautban (talk) 11:53, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- I blocked the user for three days in main namespace in order to stop the batches and give him the time to address these issues. --Epìdosis 12:25, 8 July 2023 (UTC) P.S. @Florentyna, Xezbeth, Jahl de Vautban: in cases of massive editing containing a relevant percentage of mistakes, please quickly come to WD:AN if the user doesn't respond very quickly to criticism and continues editing, so that we can stop the batches before the amount of wrong edits becomes very relevant. Thanks, --Epìdosis 12:28, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- To the list above, I would add the cases of labels starting with "Master" (e.g.). --Epìdosis 12:36, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot for helping and stopping. Other misinterpreations of names in the batches are professions (Dr, DJ) or titles (princess, the great). --Florentyna (talk) 12:57, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- @Florentyna, Xezbeth, Jahl de Vautban: if you judge that the work required to fix the wrong additions is too heavy, we can just massively revert all the batches; otherwise, we can just revert manually the single wrong edits (many, I myself reverted some tens). Which option do you prefer? --Epìdosis 13:07, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- I can trawl through the batches to fix the Japanese names, there's a lot of work required with those either way. —Xezbeth (talk) 13:25, 8 July 2023 (UTC)

A very difficult question. From my point of view I everything corrected/reverted what is related to badminton and I am fine. I would suggest not to revert all batches, I guess that >98% of the batches are correct. But this means from 100k edits 2000 are wrong. I am sure Kr.angelov will help to make all things correct. Florentyna (talk) 20:14, 8 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sure this is possible to solve with some effort, for the Romans this is a good place to start Wikidata:Database reports/Constraint violations/P2358#"Conflicts with given name (P735)" violations.StarTrekker (talk) 12:19, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
I finished for today starting from the newest change of User:Kr.angelov back to 10:13, 8 July 2023 diff hist +433 Ma Mingyu and I reverted all Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese additions. I did no Japanese changes, but I have seen, that Xezbeth was much faster than me and took care about this. Some people from Myanmar needed also some attention. No contributions for people from Malaysia, Singapore found - they would fall also under the reversed family name cases. --Florentyna (talk) 20:08, 9 July 2023 (UTC)
