"deidetected.com, a self-published source potentially used for harassment"

[edit]

I would recommend that you move your complain to Wikidata:Administrators' noticeboard instead. Seems like a more fitting place for that type of complaints Trade (talk) 12:03, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I'm not sure it's an issue of conduct unless there's been a conversation or an edit exchange with Kirilloparma with no progress made. Daisy Blue (talk) 12:05, 14 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think its better to discuss in a polite environment rather than starting to hurl accusations.
Saying someone is "complaining" doesn't make it look like you are here to discuss. SuperUltraHardCoreGamer (talk) 16:17, 20 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So in short: Opinions are opinions. Just because you don't agree doesn't mean it is a "complaint". In a sense we are all complaining about everything we consider worth bringing up. That doesn't make the argument that we bring to the table less worth. It's arguments that should count, not perception based on emotion and "complaint" is an emotional reaction, like saying "people are lazy" is also a reaction, an emotion. I believe in us that we can have civil conversation. Nobody is lazy, nobody is complaining. We are talking and I'm trying to understand your arguments and you try to understand my arguments. Do you have experience with Wikiversity?

[edit]

Hi. Thanks for bringing up the topic on Project chat regarding deidetected.com. It's a topic I'd like to learn more about. If you want I can open a page on Wikiversity(anyone can) where we and the community there can explore more about deidetected.com and similar websites, connections with harassment campaigns etc.

The page I was thinking about opening on Wikiversity got this title "Deidetected, DEI and similar concepts explored". If you have alternative names to suggest please do. My suggestion is we should welcome all points of view, respect other people's points of view...but also make sure that they respect ours...demand that others respect our freedom to do our own investigations as they do their own. Maybe this can lead to a collaboration between users with many different values. I hope I'm not too optimistic about this but in the end we are all volunteers and we decide what we spend our time on.
