Climate Cult Scientists Have Idea To Spread Diamond Dust To Stop Global Boiling

There’s just one teensy weensy problem

Scientists say sprinkling diamond dust into the sky could offset almost all of climate change so far — but it’ll cost $175 trillion

Sprinkling diamond dust into the atmosphere could offset almost all the warming caused by humans since the industrial revolution and “buy us some time” with climate change, scientists say.

New research indicates that shooting 5.5 million tons (5 million metric tons) of diamond dust into the stratosphere every year could cool the planet by 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit (1 degree Celsius) thanks to the gems’ reflective properties. This extent of cooling would go a long way to limiting global warming that began in the second half of the 19th century and now amounts to about 2.45 F (1.36 C), according to NASA.

In a modeling study published in October, he and colleagues found that diamond particles would cause neither stratospheric warming nor any other notable disruptions. That’s because diamond powder is extremely reflective and doesn’t clump together, which is the reason why some other materials absorb heat instead of sending it back to space.

BS computer models

But the costs and energy demands of these different materials remain unclear. A 2020 study estimated that SAI with sulfur dioxide from 2035 through 2100 would cost $18 billion per year, and the cost for aluminum and calcite is likely to be in the same ballpark, Vattioni said. The bill for diamonds would be much higher, with the 2020 study calculating a total cost over 65 years of $175 trillion.

There are enormous uncertainties around SAI, and scientists are nowhere near implementing it. Some experts are opposed to conducting this type of research at all due to the unforeseen consequences it may have, and because they say it siphons funding away from other climate research.

Gee, ya think? What could possibly go wrong with blocking lots of sunlight?

But “not doing this research would also be to look away from a potential technology that could at least help to mitigate some risks,” Vattioni said.

In other words, give us taxpayer funded money and we’ll research this, especially at climate conferences in nice vacation spots. Overall, this is one of the dumbest ideas from the climate cult “scientists” I’ve heard. For one thing, where’s that money coming from? Who’s paying the $18 billion a year, plus for $175 trillion for the diamonds?

Democrats Are Super Bummed Over Trump Settlement With ABC News

It’s a real shame when your Comrades in the Credentialed Media have to be careful to no longer lie about Trump and Republicans. The 1st Amendment technically says that Congress can pass no law on freedom of the press. It doesn’t say anything about them not being immune to being sued for libel and slander

Trump settlement with ABC alarms Democrats

Democratic lawmakers are expressing alarm over ABC News’s decision to pay $15 million to President-elect Trump’s presidential library to settle a defamation suit, fearing it’s part of a broader trend of the legacy media capitulating to Trump.

Senate Democrats are lamenting the decline of legacy media outlets that used to wield greater influence over the national political debate, and they worry that major news organizations won’t put as much critical scrutiny on Trump’s second term after he won a resounding victory over Vice President Harris in last month’s election.

In other words, they are mad that the news won’t be able to do their Narrative thing at Trump and Republicans while bolstering Democrats. Have they considered that people have caught on to the shenanigans and that’s one of the reasons that the Credentialed Media is dying and is barely trusted?

ABC News’s settlement, along with an apology for anchor George Stephanopoulos’s mischaracterizing two jury verdicts against Trump, is the latest bombshell shaking Democrats’ confidence that media organizations will stand up against Trump.

“I think there have been a number of really dangerous signals sent to Trump by the media that they are not willing to stand up to him,” said Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.), who is seen by some as a possible presidential candidate for his party in 2028.

Why would they stand up to him? Did they consider simply reporting in an honest and straightforward manner? Heck, Trump is more than willing to sit around for an hour or so quite often and take questions, something Biden was mostly unwilling to do. The entire reason the press was mentioned in the 1st was to hold all government accountable. Freedom of Speech would have covered it, right?

“The ABC settlement is the latest. But the decision of Comcast to sell MSNBC, the decision of The Washington Post and other newspapers not to endorse [in the presidential race], the decision of Elon Musk to just fold his entire operation into the White House” are other examples of that trend, Murphy said.

“This is how democracy dies, is the media elites deciding it would be better to go along with the regime rather than tell the truth. The truth is that lawsuit against ABC didn’t have merit,” he said.

Good word: Elites. That’s how they act, especially when so many of the reporters went to cushy highfalutin universities with the children of Those In Power, including in Congress, and many of the older ones went to college with those in Congress. Their job is to report. That’s it. Not be activists.

ABC, CBS and NBC evening newscast coverage of Trump’s Cabinet picks ‘almost uniformly negative,’ study finds

Flagship evening newscasts on ABC, CBS and NBC have been “almost uniformly negative” when covering some of President-elect Donald Trump’s most significant Cabinet appointees, according to a new study from the Media Research Center.

The MRC examined all coverage of Trump’s Cabinet appointees on ABC’s “World News Tonight,” “CBS Evening News” and NBC’s “Nightly News” from December 1-14. The study primarily focused on Trump’s Defense Secretary pick Pete Hegseth, FBI Director selection Kash Patel and Director of National Intelligence nominee Tulsi Gabbard, though it also included the other appointments.

Trump’s nominees earned a combined total of 60 minutes and 47 seconds of coverage during the 2-week period. The conservative media watchdog group found that 96% of the coverage was negative.

And that’s how the Credentialed Media dies: being partisan hacks and not even hiding it in their activities. We The People are not stupid, and do not like being treated as being stupid. So, we go elsewhere for news, and there are plenty of other outlets. Look at the Washington Post: they are hemorrhaging readers, and their stupid paywall doesn’t help. But, their actual paper edition is dying because people do not want to pay for hardcore partisan activist articles.

Democracy won’t die, as Senator Murphy things, because partisan outlets aren’t being listened to and are having to be truthful and not libelous/slanderous, as there are more than enough news outlets out there.

ClimaLawfare: Climate Cult Gets Rare Win In Montana Supreme Court Case

And then the court immediately ordered that all the plaintiffs must end their own use of fossil fuels, give up eating meat, no longer use lots of energy for their Instagram and Tiktok and streaming shows, have to make their own clothes and/or buy used, and stop wearing warm coats and boots made with petroleum in the very cold Montana winters….well, that’s what should have happened

Montana supreme court upholds right to ‘stable climate system’ for youngsters

Montana’s top court on Wednesday held that the state’s constitution guaranteed a right to a stable climate system and invalidated a law barring regulators from considering the effects of greenhouse gas emissions when permitting new fossil fuel projects.

The Montana supreme court upheld a landmark trial court decision last August in favor of 16 young people who said their health and futures were being jeopardized by climate change, which the state aggravates through its permitting of energy projects.

The 6-1 decision, the first of its kind by a US state supreme court, came in the first lawsuit to go to trial nationwide by young environmental activists challenging state and federal policies they say are exacerbating climate change.

Nate Bellinger, a lawyer for the plaintiffs at the non-profit Our Children’s Trust, in a statement said the ruling “affirmed the constitutional rights of youth to a safe and livable climate, confirming that the future of our children cannot be sacrificed for fossil fuel interests”.

And the 6 court judges have given up their own use of fossil fuels, as has Bellinger and the astroturfing folks at Our Children’s Trust, right? Anyhow, what is a stable climate? Is there such a thing? It was as warm if not warmer during multiple Holocene warm periods, as well as much cooler multiple times.

So, what are the plans of the youts to make their own lives carbon neutral? Also, I’m looking forward to the whining when their cost of living goes up and life choices go down.

Brandon Slaps Down Trump Over Drones Or Somethin

The moonbat leftists at the Daily Beast were super excited over this

Biden Slaps Down Trump and Explains the Mystery Drones

President Joe Biden on Tuesday made his first public comments about recent reports of unexplained drone sightings in the northeast.

Asked by reporters what was behind the drones, Biden answered: “Nothing nefarious, apparently, but they’re checking it all out.” He added that authorities are “following this closely,” but so far there is “no sense of danger.”

Biden’s comments were the latest effort from his administration to reassure the public about the sightings. Lawmakers have called on the federal government to provide more answers, and conspiracy theories have spread online. (snip)

On Monday, President-elect Donald Trump nevertheless insisted at a press conference that “something strange is going on” and claimed government officials “don’t want to tell the people” what’s happening. “I think they’d be better off saying what it is,” Trump said. “Our military knows and our president knows, and for some reason they want to keep people in suspense.”

Do you see an explanation there?

“There’s a lot of drones authorized to be up there,” Biden told reporters Tuesday. “I think one started and they all got—everybody wanted to get in the deal.”

How about an explanation there? I’ve read a few other articles on this, and none have anything more. It’s been an ever-changing bob and weave for the explanations from Los Federales, and it’s all literally gaslighting. How come not one person or company has come forward to say “yeah, a bunch of those SUV size drones were our”? Certainly there would be official documentation filed with the FAA and the DOD for permission to fly in restricted airspace? Further, they’d be violating FAA regulations by flying over people’s homes. If there is no threat, why did airports and military bases shut down?

There would need to be documented waivers for those drones, so, why is it necessary for the federal government to check it out? The FAA would have written approval. Anyhow, don’t tell us what they aren’t, tell us exactly what they are. Whose they are. These are all the same Talking Points we got when the Chinese spy balloon flew over the entire country.

Anyhow, let’s knock down one conspiracy theory

No, drones aren’t searching N.J. for nuclear material. Latest conspiracy theory debunked.

The latest drone sighting conspiracy theory about a search for missing nuclear material, which got amplified by a New Jersey mayor Tuesday on Good Day New York, has quickly been debunked by federal and state officials.

“There is an alert that’s out right now that radioactive material in New Jersey has gone missing on Dec. 2. It was a shipment,” Belleville Mayor Michael Melham told the hosts on Fox’s flagship morning news program in the New York market. “This is just an example of what I think that we’re sniffing for.”

The mayor was referring to a Dec. 12 notice filed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission reporting a container from the Nazha Cancer Center in New Jersey with material being sent for disposal arrived at Port Newark with damage and missing its radioactive component.

But, the material was a 6 inch device with a small amount Germanium-68 used in CAT scan machines, and was found at a Fedex depot, repackaged, and then delivered on December 10th.

Or, is that all more of the government’s lying? Hmmm. Nah. Just a conspiracy theory.

Hotcold Take: NOAA Climate Cultists To Rename It “Air Quality”

Anxious scientists brace for Trump’s climate denialism: ‘We have a target on our backs’

climate doom yearly

Something new

As the world’s largest gathering of Earth and space scientists swarmed a Washington venue last week, the packed halls have been permeated by an air of anxiety and even dread over a new Donald Trump presidency that might worsen what has been a bruising few years for science.

The annual American Geophysical Union (AGU) meeting drew a record 31,000 attendees this year for the unveiling of a slew of new research on everything from seismology to climate science to heliospheric physics, alongside a sprawling trade show and bouts of networking as scientists jostle to advance their work.

Did they take fossil fueled trips?

The prospect of an even more ideologically driven Trump administration slashing budgets and mass-firing federal staff has given America’s scientific community a sort of collective anxiety attack. “We all feel like we have a target on our backs,” said one National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration scientist, who added that agency staff are already seeking to “pivot” by replacing mentions of the climate crisis with more acceptable terms such as “air quality”.

“My god, it’s so depressing,” said another federal scientist about the incoming administration. A doctoral candidate, when asked about entering the workforce under Trump, simply puffed her cheeks and groaned. “If someone offered me a departmental position now, I’d jump,” said one Nasa researcher. “It’s hard, particularly for younger people. Hopefully we will survive it all.”

Nice try, cultists. Hypocritical cultists. They’re like people at Jonestown trying to cajole others into drinking the kool aid while they themselves don’t.

Some researchers think scientists should adapt to this hyper-partisan environment by sticking to unadorned facts, rather than anything that could be seen as campaigning. “We have been come to be seen as just another partisan lobbying group,” said Ken Caldeira, a climate scientist.

You are. As Jo writes “One day most scientists will say “we always knew it was overdone”. But right now, brave scientists are sticking to their beliefs … playing the victim card and adopting new advertising to keep their funding.”

Tennessee Lawmaker Introduces Bill To Ship Illegals/Migrants To Sanctuary Cities

If they commit minor crimes they will be shown the door

Tenn. bill aims to send migrants with a minor charge to sanctuary cities instead deporting

A Tennessee state lawmaker wants law enforcement to send migrants accused of minor crimes to sanctuary cities instead of deporting them.

He also wants to make sure all agencies report migrants to immigration.

Representative Todd Warner filed the bill ahead of the legislative session.

He told FOX 17 News sending migrants to a sanctuary city could cost less for Tennessee than deporting them to another country. (snip)

Violent criminals, he said, would be subject to the judicial system and deported.

“This is for victimless crimes. This is not for someone that has committed a terrible crime,” said Warner.

That’s a good idea. Governor Bill Lee is a Republican, and could literally take any illegal/migrant and ship them away from Tennessee, but, this makes sure that it happens. And Bill is ready to cooperate with Trump

Tennessee governor appears ready to mobilize National Guard, state officers for deportation

Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee is set to use state personnel, likely National Guard troops and highway patrol officers, to back President-elect Donald Trump’s plan to deport millions of immigrants when he takes office in January 2025.

The Republican governor issued a statement on the social media platform X Monday evening saying, “I have asked key state agencies to begin making preparations & stand ready on Day 1 to support President Trump’s efforts to secure our Nation’s borders & keep communities safe.”

The statement marked the governor’s first confirmation that he is willing to use Tennessee personnel, which could include troops and state officers, to remove undocumented immigrants as part of a national effort by Trump to deport millions of people.

It’s a whole lot easier when you are shipping the criminals to sanctuary cities first. Reports show that there are around 7.9 million illegals currently living in sanctuary cities.

Watermelon War: Climate Wackos Go After Gavin Newsom

Seriously, Newsom has been a pretty good ally for the Cult of Climastrology, but, there are plenty of different sects within, some way more extreme than others

Environmental group launches six-figure battleground state ad buy against Newsom’s ‘climate leadership’

An environmental group is calling out Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom’s climate leadership in a six-figure battleground state ad buy which claims his policies in California have “significantly undermined climate progress.”

While running for governor in 2018, Newsom said he would shut down the Aliso Canyon Natural Gas Storage Facility in California – the location of the largest methane leak in U.S. history. “I’m fully committed to doing that,” Newsom told a reporter when asked if he would shut down the facility. “The question is how quickly can we do that, but my commitment is to make that happen. We need to be more aggressive than we have been.”

Newsom added that he was “unequivocally” committed to shutting it down, but environmental groups are calling out the governor after allowing the facility to remain open six years later.

Food & Water Action, the political and lobbying arm of Food & Water Watch advocating against climate change, announced on Monday a $100,000 ad buy against Newsom across four battleground states – Nevada, South Carolina, New Hampshire and Michigan.

Since Newsom hasn’t shut down a legally operating private company they are going after him, despite all the other climate crazy he’s done over his years as governor.

However, in a statement shared with Fox News Digital, Daniel Villaseñor, spokesperson for Newsom, said that “the Governor’s energy policy is ambitious, not reckless.”

“We are committed to safely closing Aliso Canyon without harming working families with skyrocketing utility bills,” the spokesperson said. “No governor has done more to accelerate our transition to clean and renewable energy, but it would be irresponsible to close Aliso Canyon before demand for natural gas declines. That’s a recipe for precisely the same price spikes we’ve seen in the gasoline market.”

Villaseñor added that Newsom “wants to see Aliso Canyon phased out, but not at the cost of enormous price increases for working families and our ability to keep the lights on.” The California Public Utilities Commission is planning to meet on Dec. 19 to discuss the future of the facility.

Doing Something is all fun and games until it skyrockets the cost of living….well, more than has already happened.

Report: All Those Drones Are Spying For China

Real? It’s certainly not out of the question, right?

‘Spy drones’ from China are likely cause of unexplained aircraft wreaking havoc over US, House foreign affairs chair says in bombshell claim

House Foreign Affairs Committee chairman Michael McCaul said Tuesday that he believes that some unidentified drones spotted above New Jersey and New York are “spy drones” from China — after Biden administration officials insisted many of the aircraft are innocent commercial aircraft.

“We want answers but the response I’m getting is we don’t know whose drones these are,” McCaul (R-Texas) told reporters before executive-branch officials offered a classified briefing to members of the House intelligence committee.

“I was with the NASA administrator, Bill Nelson, he said that these drones have been reported over military sites, military bases. I would not think those are friendly. I would think those are adversarial,” McCaul said.

“We need to identify who is behind these drones,” he said. “My judgment based on my experience is that those that are over our military sites are adversarial and most likely are coming from the People’s Republic of China.”

“I believe they’re spy drones and the PRC and communist China is very good at this stuff. We know they bought land around military bases. This would be very consistent with their policy over the past couple years,” McCaul added.

Of course, I’d like to see some evidence on this, but, would this be so hard to believe? The Biden-Harris admin let a Chinese spy balloon fly across the entire U.S., surveilling national security site, till finally blowing it up way off the east coast.

Most of the 5K drone reports turned out to be planes, hobbyists and stars, feds say

The FBI has yet to uncover anything alarming or abnormal in its ongoing investigation into more than 5,000 reported sightings of drones in New Jersey and other states over the last month, the bureau said Monday.

The 5,000 tips generated around 100 leads for investigators, the FBI said in a rare joint statement with the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Aviation Administration and the Department of Defense.

The rest of the reports were ruled out by investigators, who have determined the sightings were mostly lawful commercial drones, hobbyist drones, law enforcement drones, airplanes and helicopters.

Some were also stars people mistook for drones.

Right, right, people were simply mistaking slow moving/stationary drones for fast moving airplanes. And people do not know what stars are. I wish I could find the link, I might have heard it on the radio, where the feds were saying that people in Central NJ aren’t too familiar with all those airplanes, and some NJ Congressman or Assemblyman mentioned that there are three international airports in the NYC area, one in Philly, plus smaller ones in Trenton and Atlantic city, and lots of small airports. Not too mention all the traffic coming north and southbound. It’s really patronizing.

Update: found the link

During an interview with ABC News on Monday, New Jersey Assembly Speaker Craig J. Coughlin (D) reacted to suggestions that the uptick in reported drone sightings in the state is due to people not being familiar with air traffic by stating that, in the part of New Jersey he lives in, “We’re really used to air traffic over our heads” due to the proximity to busy airports and “there is something significantly different” and “part of it is, we’re hearing from people in parts of the state that routinely don’t have that same kind of air traffic in the northwest part of the state and the southern parts of the state.”

Coughlin said, “I heard your colleague talking about how we’re not — we may not be used to things in the air. The truth of the matter is, I live in the central part of the state, and it’s — I live not far from Newark Airport and between Newark and Kennedy and JFK, three of the busiest airports in the world. We’re really used to air traffic over our heads. And so, it hasn’t — there is something significantly different that is causing people to be — part of it is, we’re hearing from people in parts of the state that routinely don’t have that same kind of air traffic in the northwest part of the state and the southern parts of the state. So, it’s all over.”

Who flies there expensive personal drone at night, and, why has the amount of drones suddenly dropped?
