As the 2004 baseball season gets under way, consider these impressive statistics: Major League Baseball player Alex Rodriguez had 118 RBIs (runs batted in) last year, which translated into 118 Hewlett-Packard computers and $118,000 worth of Microsoft software for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America.

"The generosity of Alex Rodriguez, HP, and Microsoft symbolizes their commitment to kids" nationwide says Kurt Aschermann, chief marketing and development officer, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Atlanta. "This program is especially meaningful to our kids because Alex is a former club member. He is a true role model to today's youth."
