Madness is a Super Smash Bros. Melee Luigi player from Paris, France. Madness is currently ranked 3rd on the French Power Rankings and 3rd on the Parisian Power Rankings. He is considered among the best Luigi players in Europe.
Though he only discovered its competitive scene in late 2017, Madness began playing Melee on a casual basis in 2005. After starting out as a Ness main, serving as the origin for his tag, he made the switch to Luigi in mid-2018 and began frequently entering tournaments. Later that year, he co-founded ParisSmashGang, a tournament organizing crew based in Paris at the helm of some of the region's notable tournament series, including Melee Pression and Pepite Stadium, as well as the Rockball Tournament netplay series during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Closing out 2018 with a set win against renowned French player porc, Madness would become a regular of the Parisian Melee scene in 2019, frequently achieving respectable placements in tournaments, as high as 4th on two separate occasions, defeating the likes of Artil and Arte - then considered among the best players in Paris. This consistency would allow Madness to make his appearance on the Parisian Power Rankings, first as a "Most Improved" mention in the Spring 2019 edition, then on the 10th spot in the July - December edition.
When the COVID-19 pandemic brought a temporary end to in-person events, Madness would frequently enter online tournaments throughout 2020 and 2021, with his results drastically improving - earning him a debut on the 6th spot in the French Power Rankings' January - September 2021 online season. This improvement would continue into the post-online era, with Madness establishing himself as a consistent Top 4 finisher in regional tournaments, and as a major threat in international tournaments. He has notable wins against players such as skullbro, Fout NL, Tekk, Charlon and NekoKaze. Madness joined Team OBR on March 4th, 2022.
