Earth’s Sub

System
What is Atmosphere
It is the mixture of gases that
surrounds the earth which help
us creatures living in this planet
by providing the air that we
need, protecting us from the
buring effect of the suns uv
rays, also by trapping heat to
warm the planet.
Characteristics
1. Composition: It consists mainly of nitrogen
(78%), oxygen (21%), and trace amounts of
other gases like argon, carbon dioxide, and
water vapor.

2. Layers: It is divided into distinct layers based

on temperature gradients, including the
troposphere, stratosphere, mesosphere, and
thermosphere.

3. Pressure: Atmospheric pressure decreases

with altitude, affecting weather patterns and air
density.
What is Biosphere
It is a global ecosystem that it is
made up of biota and abiotic
factors the provides them
energy and nutrient. It is also
where air, water and soil
combines that can sustain life.
Characteristics
1. Diversity of Life: It encompasses all living
organisms on Earth, from microorganisms to plants
and animals, and their interactions with each other
and their environments.
2. Ecosystems: It includes various ecosystems, such
as forests, oceans, deserts, and wetlands, each with
its unique communities of organisms and ecological
processes.
3. Interdependence: Organisms within the biosphere
depend on each other and their environment for
resources like food, water, and shelter, forming
complex food webs and biogeochemical cycles.
Atmosphere and
biosphere
relationship of biosphere
and atmosphere
In Biosphere, you need the
atmosphere to provide air for
the living things in that
biosphere where in the
biosphere is air, water, soil
and living organisims is
needed in order for them to
live.
Interaction
interaction of biosphere
and atmosphere
The interactions between Earth's
biosphere and atmosphere are essential
to human life. In addition to producing
oxygen and eliminating carbon dioxide
which we exhale, plants also supply a
large portion of the water that falls on our
crops and fills our reservoirs through
transpiration, the physiologically
regulated evaporation of water from plant
leaves.
Interaction
interaction of biosphere
and atmosphere
Atmosphere and bioshpere
interactions makes sure that
the air we inhale is safe, by
the figure before, rough
surfaces of vegetation remove
aerosols, ozone, and other
reactive gases from the air
through dry deposition.
Plants also emits a huge
variety of volatile organic
compounds (VOCs) that are
precursors to tropospheric
ozone and aerosols; and the
terrestrial biosphere
sequesters almost 30% of
fossil fuel carbon dioxide
(CO2) emissions.
Which air pullotants also affect
the biosphere in turn, Ozone
and acid deposition suppress
plant growth; meanwhile,
aerosols and thier indirect
effects on clouds decrease
total photosynthetically active
radiation (PAR) while
increasing diffue fraction.
To sum up, the relationship of
this two atmosphere is that
they undergo the process
where gases exchanges, for
example, the plants provides
the oxygen we needed, and
we give back the carbon
dioxide that the plant needs or
it can take the Co2 that came
from the atmosphere
That’s all
