viticulture to the island around the 6th century BC,
followed by the Romans, who also made significant
contributions to the development of viticulture in the
region..

Nielluccio variety, as well as whites from
Vermentino.
Ajaccio

city of Ajaccio, this region has vineyards
stretching from the mountains to the
Mediterranean Sea.

from the Sciaccarello grape, are known
for their body and structure, while the
whites of Vermentino are fresh and
aromatic.

the town of Sartène, this region has a
Mediterranean climate influenced by its
proximity to the sea.
Robust and aromatic red wines are
produced here, mainly from the
Nielluccio variety, as well as fresh and
fruity white wines from Vermentino.
Coteaux du Cap Corse

the tip of Cap Corse, this region has
vineyards planted on steep slopes
overlooking the sea.

Traditional Techniques of vine growing
Terraced viticulture: In mountainous
areas such as Patrimonio, vineyards are
cultivated on stepped terraces built on
the mountain slopes.
Hand harvesting: Although machinery
has been introduced on some estates,
many wineries in Corsica still prefer
manual harvesting, especially for the
harvesting of grapes destined for the
production of high quality wines.
