Viewing Genre
• It is something that is seen or viewed especially that

1. ANIMATION
• These are the cartoons we see on screen.
• Inanimate objects or drawings appear to move in
motion pictures or computer graphics.

for teenagers.

• It is used to attract viewers to watch the film or movie.
3. EDUCATION
• This is a show or program that is highly informational
and can be intended for children or adults.
• It comes in episodes focusing on particular theme.

4. VARIETY SHOW
• It includes games, dances, songs, acts, and other performances.
• It’s main purpose is to entertain the viewers.
• It is called variety because it presents viewers varied
performances.
Examples: Eat Bulaga, It’s Showtime, ASAP
3. NEWS/ NEWSFLASH
• These are informative shows shown regularly on television or
internet to bring relevant information on the current situation.
• It updates the community or country.

5. DOCUMENTARY
• It is a non-fictional motion picture intended to document reality.
• It requires lesser cost in production but offers a more realistic
experience and life changing impact to the viewers.

6. INFOMERCIALS
• Blended word of information and commercial.
• It is a long television advertisements that contains a lot of
information and seems like a normal program.
• It is used by the government to provide a widespread of
information on relevant issues for public awareness.

• It is just a portion of the entire film usually cut to pick
specific scene or highlight in the movie.
