ROBOT RULES/SPECIFICATION GIVEN BY
DRL

• 1. Maximum length – 500mm .

• 2. Maximum breadth – 500mm.
• 3. Maximum height – NO LIMIT.
• 4. Weight must be less than 30 kg(including batteries and controllers).
• 5. Voltage of any circuit in the robot or battery must not exceed 24 Volts.
• 6. Lead acid batteries or any dangerous power sources cannot be used.
• 7. Robot must have an emergency stop button to prevent it from going rogue in any scenario.
MATERIAL AND COMPONENTS REQUIRED
FOR THE ROBOT
Framing
1. Square Aluminium bars
~ Provide structural strength
~ Light weight
~ Budget friendly
COST - ₹300
*PVC pipe will also be used worth ₹50
MOTORS(GEARED)
• CHASSIS MOTOR • BALL LAUNCHING MOTORS
~ Must have sufficient torque i.e 1.2 kgcm or more. ~ Torque isn’t required much i.e 0.3 kgcm or more would do
~ Must have sufficient speed i.e RPM 300 or more. the work.

~ Must be geared . ~ RPM is very much needed to accelerate the ball so that it
can reach the center of the playing field (2.5-3 meters); 1000
~ Required number – 4. rpm is required atleast.
~ Required number – 2.

COST - ₹ 250 X 4 = ₹1000 COST - ₹100 X 2 = ₹200

MOTORS(SERVO)

~ Metal geared servo motor is required to aid in the ball launching mechanism to
hold the balls in place.
~ MG90 metal geared servo

COST - ₹150 X 1 = ₹150

WHEELS
• ~ Hardened plastic wheel are required to support such massive robot with noticeable weight.
• ~ Geared motor wheels are required which have 6mm of shaft space.
• ~ Required diameter- 7 cm, required width- 4cm
• ~ Required number- 6( 4 for chassis and 2 for ball launching mechanism)

• COST - ₹150 + ₹50 = ₹200

ELECTRONICS
• ARDUINO UNO R3 development board
• ~ Atmega382p chipset (not original)
• ~ COST - ₹400(approx.)

HC05 BLUETOOTH MODULE

• ~ Compatible with Arduino uno R3 and
• has range of 10 meters
• ~ COST - ₹300(approx.)
ELECTRONICS

• L289n motor driver H bridge

~ It is a very robust motor driver with a very big heat sync and it has a very wide range of motors that it can
operate.
~ Operate upto 25 watts and is budget friendly.
~ Can operate 2 motors at once if not parallely connected.
~ Required number for 7 motors – 2
~ COST - ₹100 X 2 = ₹200
ELECTRONICS
JUMPER WIRES
~ Needed for connections.
~ 1 X set
~ COST - ₹50

PCB BOARD
~Required to solder all the connection with the BMS and
Placement of Arduino.
~ COST - ₹20

MAIN SWITCH
~ Required for safety concerns.
~ It would shut down the whole robot in case of misshappening.
~ COST - ₹30
BATTERY

• 18650 Lithium Ion cells(BMS is included)

~ We would atleast need 7.5 Ah of battery backup at 12 volt.
~ Since batteries as a whole are expensive, we would use 18650 cells and place
it in series and parallel accordingly to create atleast 7.5 Ah of battery backup
which would be sufficient for our robot.
~ COST - ₹100 X 9 = ₹900
DESIGN, MEASUREMENT AND WEIGHT OF BOT
DESIGN
~ Theres a 3D design of the robot which attached to this presentation for the better visualization of the design.
ROUGH 3D DESIGN OF THE ROBOT MADE USING TINKER CAD

MEASUREMENTS
~ Approximate length of the robot would be 40 cm including the disc pushing mechanism and the main chassis.
~ Approximate width of the robot would 30 cm which includes 20 cm wide chassis and 4cm wide geared motor wheels with 1 cm
space on both sides.
~ Theres no limit for height but approximate is about 40-50 cm.

WEIGHT
~ Weight depends on all the components, an approximate list is given below:
1. Battery - 500 grams 2. Motors – 1 kg
3. CHASSIS and electronics – 800 grams 4. ball throwing mechanism and 6 loaded balls –
700 gram
*THEREFORE TOTAL WEIGHT – 3kg (approximate)
TECH TITAN BOT
THE BUILD IS DEVIDED INTO 4 SECTIONS
• 1. CHASSIS [BHAVISHAY]
~ The chassis include the main frame of the robot which will be made from aluminum bars, it also consists of disc
pushing mechanism and motors..
~ The chassis need to be strong in order to sustain the wait of all the components and have good mobility.
~ Chassis will be held together with screws.
~chassis will have 4 open joints on each corner which will further be connected with ball throwing mechanism later on.
TECH TITAN BOT
• 2. BALL LAUNCHING MECHANISM [YASH and NIKHIL]
~ It consists of actual mechanism the will help in collecting points in the game.
~ It consists of 2 high RPM motor and 1 servo, high RPM motors would accelerate the ball
(14cm diameter) and launch it approximately to the center of the playing field(2.5-3 meters).
~ It will further have a servo which would control the number of balls that would be launched,
and ensure only 1 is thrown at a time.
~ It will be done by the team members, namely YASH and NIKHIL.
TECH TITAN BOT
• 3. ELECTONICS [BHAVISHAY AND TEAM]
~ Electronics consist of all the computing components along with all the sensors, motor driver,
wires, battery and working component like motors.
~ Electronics will require firm connection with eachother and must be welded on the PCB and
connected using soldering iron.
~ This work will be done by Bhavishay with the help of team members.
TECH TITAN BOT

• 4. CODING/PROGRAMMING [DEEPANJALI AND ADITYA]

~ This includes the literal codes that will be written in ARDUINO IDE software and then saved
into Arduino.
~ Code is the most important aspect for the bot as team members will need to make an app
which will help in controlling the robot through Bluetooth using phone.
~ It will be written by DEEPANJALI and ADITYA.
