Online Tests
Online Test Instructions

The online Test will be available in week 7 from 6 am to 9 pm on Friday 10 th May, 2024. Once started, you have 60
minutes to complete the test.

The Online Test will cover topics from Week 1 to Week 5

(20 Multiple choice questions. Each multiple choice question is worth 0.5 mark).
Total is 10 marks
The questions are presented in a random order.

Online Test Instructions
1. This test must be completed within the published window period.
2. Once you click "Begin" you have 60 minutes to complete the test. At the end of your 60 minutes, the
test will be automatically submitted at whatever point you have completed.
3. There are 20 MCQ questions in the test. For each question, please select ONE answer from the available
options and click "Save Answer". You may change your answer at any time until you move to the next
question.
4. You move to the next question by clicking the button ">" next to the phrase "Question x of 20". Once
you moved to the next question, you CANNOT return to change your answer(s).
5. After answering the last question, click "Save and Submit" to finish the test.

Should you have Internet or computer issues please log on via another device immediately within your one
(1) hour test period.
Group Assessment (Part A)

Group Assessment (Part A, Cont’d)
Task Requirements
You should form in a group of 4 students. Please use self-enrolment tool in BB. Note that once you do so, your
group members are fixed and cannot be changed. The group size should be 4 only. It is essential that every
member makes a significant valid academic contribution to the team result. As you start to work on your group
report, you are required to assimilate this Appendix, to be submitted via a link on the UNIT blackboard site in
week 10, by Friday 11:59 pm.

What Should be Included in the Appendix?


1. All group members’ details (full name, student ID numbers, phone numbers).
2. The topic chosen for your group assignment.
3. Allocation of the tasks for each group member.
4. A Gantt chart showing the working plan towards completion of the group assignment. This chart must have every allocated task,
deadlines and dates clearly stated.
5. Each student to list at least five references and sources for their chosen part. [Final Report must contain these references plus any others
that are cited or used].
6. All the correspondence towards working on the group assignments must be submitted as part of this assessment, this would include but
not limited to emails, WhatsApp messages, USB file exchanges, group discussion, text messages, etc.
7. Details of a minimum of five group meetings held to be provided. Each meeting must be documented .

Group Assessment (Part B)
Assessment Title: Group Report (3000 words, excluding references)- Part B

Learning Objectives: This assignment aims at ensuring that students have familiarised
themselves with a general framework of at least one management related topic. Students
will be required to apply relevant theoretical concepts with the use of practical examples in
most cases in a written research paper.

Weight: 30 marks

Word Limit: 3000 words

Submission Due date: Week 10 (Friday 31st May, 2024, 11:59 pm)
Both the Appendix and Final Report should be submitted in a single file by week 10.
Group Assessment (Part B, Cont’d)
Each group of 4 students will select and analyse one of the topics provided in the assessment guidelines in
Blackboard
 Research on the broad topic is a group activity and each student must contribute to that work.
 Each student in the group will then research an individual component drawn from the broad research topic.
Your report is to be written as a business report. It must include:
• Executive summary
• Table of contents
• Section headings
• Paragraphing
• Page numbers
• ‘Who did what’ section (use the recommended table in the guidelines)
• Reference list at the end of the report
• To ensure that all students participated equally in the group assignment and that students are responsible for
the academic integrity of all components of the assignment.

Note: Please note that the lecture slides may contain the basic key concepts only and
students are expected to have read a wide range of scholarly literature to complete
the assessments. Students are expected to have undertaken additional research
using Google Scholar and ProQuest research database.

Plagiarism Reproducing the work of someone else without attribution. When a student submits their
own work on multiple occasions this is known as self-plagiarism.

Collusion Working with one or more other individuals to complete an assignment, in a way that is not
authorised.
Copying Reproducing and submitting the work of another student, with or without their knowledge. If a
student fails to take reasonable precautions to prevent their own original work from being copied,
this may also be considered an offence.

Impersonation Falsely presenting oneself, or engaging someone else to present as oneself, in an in-person
examination.

Contract cheating Contracting a third party to complete an assessment task, generally in exchange for money or
other manner of payment.

Data fabrication and falsification Manipulating or inventing data with the intent of supporting false conclusions, including
manipulating images.
