Introduction
 This world is dealing with parados at choice and manufacturers are going to new length to
make their products stand out from other.

 This increased expenditure on advertisement and marketing and innovative ads are hard to miss.

 Advertisement is a paid term at communication it tell us about different products , services or


ideas to the audience.

 At present Scenario advertisement plays an important role among children it has both positive effects as well as negative effects.
Types of Advertisement’s
 Advertisement was started by Egyptians by papyrus scroll , after that China Started earliest advertisement orally by 11 th century
to 17th centuries BC.

 In the 20th century a advertisement was firstly telecasted in radio’s in 1950 and then it was commercially telecasted in cable
television (MTV) in 1980’s after that it also started on internet in 1990.

 It was basically an attempt to attract human beings to buy good’s and service’s and in result it changed the costumer into
consumers.

 Children’s are more likely to chose TV’s as their companion rather then their friend’s and family.

 In this busy world most of families prefer having single child . And they are both working profession to. so they are not able to
give time to their child so in search of companion they get attracted towards TV,s and internet.

 Their advertisement makes children’s aware of new products , brands as well as games leading to distractions.
Impact of Advertisement on children’s mind
Positive impact:
o Promotion of public services –The government uses these scheme across the country to let people recognise the importance
for the general public needs like , during war time and other emergency situation , many non-profit organizations and even in
case of disaster management.

o Social advantages –Conventional- advertising technique to promote the products s company generates tremendous social
benefits . The advertisement on Television , Print media and the internet

o They can be source of information . Special public service announcements and technologies mile stones that offer a good
learning opportunity.

o Certain advertisements that have hygienic products for example- they can help inculcate good habits in children

o Some advertisement also help influence children to eat healthy and exercise regularly

o Increase mental ability

o Increase confidence (for introvert , non social)


Negative impact:
o Provokes tobacco alcohol consumption . Advertisement on alcohol and tobacco can have repercussions on children and teens.

o Develops materialistic feeling.

o Encourage children to try dangerous stunts advertisements often contains false claim or exaggerates content with the intent to
attract consumers and grab their interest.

o Develops negative feeling’s.

o Influences them to resort to impulsive.

o Provokes violence and aggressive thoughts.

o Children’s wasting much of their valuable time in watching T.V

o Children learn more information in a short span of time through advertisements , they do apply the same tricks to get more
knowledge in short span.
Protection of children’s from bad impact of Advertisement
 Government should impose some strict media rule and should be strictly followed by the companies targeting children’s.

 Parents should avoid giving their children’s personal mobile or personal television in their room.

 Parents should have check on their children’s mobile phone even they are using their grandparents phone.

 Parents should try to have even one meal in a day together . So that the children’s can get time to share something with them.

 Try to motivate them to watch motivational as well as educational shows instead of watching worthless content on internet.

 Motivate them to get the subscription of apps which inculcate skills and knowledge in them instead of getting the
subscription of addictive games.

 Parents should take their children’s to live shows of some legendry people like SANDEEP MAHESWARI , VIVEK
VINDRA etc instead taking in the worthless show of Salmon bhai.

 Parents should try to connect their children with nature as well as creature.
Measures to change the effect of Advertisement on children
 Competent bodies should draw up a document about minimum nutritional parameter that must be mandatorily displayed on
food advertisement aimed at children.

 Develop campaigns of national scope about healthy food including preventing future public spending.

 Promote campaigns calling the companies in food and related areas which aimed at children to conduct marketing in a
responsible manners

 New regulations on child television that prohibit children’s program with the intention of selling toys and other product.

 Prohibits commercials of caloric and low nutritional value beverages and food , banning them from schools.

 Associations , foundations can encourage their support efforts that concern advertising aimed at children , in order to promote
public conscientiousness.

 Including items about consumerism on conference agenda is a good way to promote conscientiousness in colleague.
Conclusion
The purpose of this ppt was to make a review of the impact of Advertisements on children’s mind . The
impact of television advertisement on children’s are both negative as well as positive . Television is not
only providing entertainment , but also force young children to demand for must have items. Earlier
young children were off limits to advertisers and now they directly appeal to them. This has resulted in
adverse effects on the way children interpret and understand the message being presented them. Tv is an
excellent media no doubt about in that , we can view entire world at our door step. But there is a say that
where there is a good thing there also resides some bad . so that’s why we should use these thing very
wisely so we can’t get into trouble. And we can take maximum out of it for our development .
