Examples :
• During the COVID-19 pandemic, Musk's leadership style was on
display when he took swift action to convert Tesla's production
facilities to create ventilators for hospitals. He encouraged his
team to work around the clock to design and manufacture the
ventilators, which were eventually donated to hospitals in need.

First Case study

Jean-Pierre has a person-oriented leadership style,
but could benefit from incorporating task-oriented
behaviors to improve productivity. He could adopt
a transformational or participative leadership style,
which would involve inspiring and motivating his
team, involving them in decision-making
processes, and empowering them with the
resources they need to succeed. A democratic
leadership style that balances task-oriented and
person-oriented behaviors would be ideal for Jean-
Pierre. This would involve setting clear goals and
expectations for his employees while also creating
a supportive and positive work environment, as
well as providing opportunities for growth and
development.

second Case study

Mr. Bernard could adopt Achievement-Oriented
Leadership to motivate his employees to perform at
their best. He could also consider Autocratic
leadership to prioritize departmental goals in
situations where time and resources are limited. In
a complex and ambiguous problem, he could adopt
a directive leadership style to provide clear
guidance and direction. In a project requiring
creativity and innovation, he could adopt a
participative leadership style to involve the team in
brainstorming and idea generation.

Third case study

Leonard has a people-oriented leadership style, but
this may be detrimental to organizational success if
it comes at the expense of achieving performance
targets. He should adopt a more task-oriented style
that focuses on setting clear objectives, evaluating
progress, and holding staff accountable. While it is
important to establish strong relationships with
employees, it should not take precedence over
achieving organizational goals. Leonard's
leadership style could benefit from incorporating
elements of transformational leadership, such as
inspiring and motivating employees towards a
common vision and providing them with support
and resources to achieve their objectives.
