 Greeting passengers as they board and exit
 Showing passengers to their seats and
providing special attention to certain
passengers, like elderly or disabled
 Checking the condition and provision of
emergency equipment
 Aircraft safety procedures
 Making announcements on behalf of the pilot
 Selling duty – free goods.

CREW BRIEFING
A briefing usually aims to encourage
Interactive communication between all crew
members and includes questions from crew
members and an exchange of information.
There is an emphasis on the principles of crew
resource management (CRM) to ensure that the
crew works as an effective team.
CAPTAIN BRIEFING
An airline captain has overall responsibility for
the safe and efficient operation of the aircraft
and the safety of the crew and passengers.
They will be concerned with the airworthiness
of the plane, weather factors affecting the
flight, flight regulations and air traffic control
Procedures.
COURSES AND ELIGIBILITY
The minimum qualification required to become
a flight steward and cabin crew is intermediate
or graduation. There are various institutes in
India offers diploma course after 12th in the
field of aviation. Some of the airlines also
provides 3 to 6 months training.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
 Age Requirement: Below 25 years old.
 Height: Minimum 5.5 to 5.9 foots.
 Weight: In proportion to height
 Status(Martial): Unmarried
 Eye sight: 20/30 vision or better is required
 Education: Graduate Degree or
12th/equivalent with three year diploma
 Other: No tattoos, piercings or wild hairstyles
 Language: National and one international
language
