What Is It?
Water one of the raw materials in
the process is utilized during the
light dependent reaction stage. As
the water molecules hit by the light
energy, it splits into hydrogen ion,
oxygen and free electrons. The
energy harvested during this stage
is stored in the form of ATP
(Adenosine Triphosphate) and
NADPH (Nicotinamide Adenine
Dinucleotide Phosphate
Hydrogen). These energies will be
utilized as a fuel (Oxygen) for the
next stage which is the light-
independent reaction.
