PREFACE
Praises and gratitude to ALLAH SWT supposed to be sent for ALLAH’s guidance that make us able to
attend this “Investment Promotion Forum: Regional Potential Invesment Opportunities” which is held in
Warsawa. We also supposed to send our greet and invocation for Prophet Muhammad SAW, his family,
friends and followers.
 
We, as the representation of South Kalimantan’s Provincial Government, would like to thank and give
highest regard to the Head of Indonesian Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM – RI), whom invite us
as the speaker at this forum. We also hope the information about South Kalimantan’s investment
potential and opportunities that will be presented gain appreciation from all stakeholders, especially
from prospective investor whom we expect to will and able to invest in our province.
 
South Kalimantan has abundance natural resources in various sector, like agriculture, plantation,
animal husbandry, fishery, forestry, mining, transportation, industries, and trading and commerce. Our
province has many attributes to suit investor’s requirement for best investment destination, because
supported by secure and conducive region, sufficient infrastructure, prime licensing services,
competitive investment facilities and skilled labor.
 
The proof show South Kalimantan was rewarded invesment award from State Government in 2008.
Since 2010, we have been offering prime commodities according to existing potential from various
sector, include food, energy, and infrastructure development. Therefore, we invite you to join us to work
on our potential natural resources, to build and develop the better and prosperous South Kalimantan.
We are ready and will accept the our prospective investor in wide-open hand to develop

Cement Industry
• Location: Hulu Sungai Selatan, Tanah Bumbu and Kotabaru regency
• Opportunity and Benefit:
– Abundance raw materials such as limestone, clay, silica sand and coal and it
reserves as fuel
– Available competitive labor from various disciplines
– Available infrastructure such as electricity, ports with national standard, road ,
telecommunications and supporting institutions
– Available and open wide market in South Kalimantan, other Kalimantan
territories, Java, Sumatera and exports

 Available market, from national to international level such as
Korea, China and European countries
 Highly benefit products: cheaper and more economical than kerosene, hotter and
cleaner flames, smokeless, odorless, sootless, safe and unexplodable and able to
maintain food’s original taste and smell
 Another benefit: energy diversification and conservation efforts, safe foreign
exchange, expand business opportunities and employement opportunities, pull out
poverty
