Project Title: “Gingoog Floating Restaurant”
The first eco-tourism floating restaurant in Daan-lungsod, Gingoog City

I. Project Objective:

 To be able to generate employment and income opportunity by promoting local dining out in
the city, where customers can be provided not only with affordable healthy, fresh and organic
meals but promoting untapped relaxing experience of Gingoog River view.

 To provide favorable business opportunity by prioritizing local fishermen’s fresh catch of


seafood, river grown aqua cultured food, locally grown vegetable with solar panel aquaponics,
local meat and poultry products.

 To showcase local cultural talents by engaging the youth and women including senior citizens
with various entertainment activities and hospitality services highlighting well calibrated
heritage of various music and dance to customers promoting tourism.

 Brief Description of the Project:

Daan Lungsod is strategically located next to the widest and


most stable deep river bed surrounded by beautiful scenic
mangrove landscape. Previously is the center and the heart
of Gingoog City also known as old Poblacion where old
heritage factory and trading activities used to flourish. With
significant landmark, this greatly has historical impact that
will drive more curious and adventurous visitors to be part
of their must “go to” places here in the city.

This Barangay also is known for highly skilled boat making


and specialized boat carpentry works that mainly caters to
dense population of fishermen.
“This floating restaurant will boost strong tourism potential with strong employment
generation highlighting already established boat making industry, high yield
agricultural land and livestock, poultry production. ”

III. Mechanics/Guidelines:

The strategy is simple, we intend to succeed by giving people a combination of


excellent and interesting food in an environment that appeals to a wide and varied
group of local taste. We will focus on maintaining quality and establishing a strong
identity in our community. Our main focus in marketing will be to increase
customer awareness in the surrounding communities. We will direct all of our
tactics and programs toward the goal of explaining who we are and what we do,
and fresh produce we cater. We will keep our standards high and execute the
concept so that word-of-mouth will be our main marketing force including online
marketing and social media.

We will create an appealing and entertaining environment with unbeatable quality


at an exceptional price. An exciting and friendly restaurant, we will be the talk of
the town. Therefore, the execution of our concept is the most critical element of
our plan. All menu items are moderately priced for the area. While we are striving
to be the lowest-priced restaurant, we are aiming to be the value high quality
agricultural leader.

Our competitive edge is the menu, the relaxing view of the environment, the
management, the service and our friendly place! We will have a twist of
international and local menu and our food will be made with the freshest
ingredients and coming from locally produced meat and fruits products. Our
environment is refreshing and comfortable and our decor is warm and relaxing.
Great service is very important to the whole operation. The management and
servers will handle every detail to make customer's special dining even more
special! All this and our great view of the river will make customers want to come
back again and again!

 Expected Output:

Our sales plan is to establish and maintain position with our local customers. The strategy is to
build more customers in order to increase revenue. Sales in our business is client service and
enhance tourism opportunity. It is repeat business. We will focus on making all our customers
happy with our food, service and entertainment options that includes cultural shows and
entertainment.

Our strategy in the restaurant is to have an experienced staff that know the food, drinks and
appetizers. We will train every new employee so they will fit in with the floating restaurant
concept, which is "Wonderful and affordable food, reasonably-priced drinks and
knowledgeable service in an outstanding atmosphere."

The area is in need of a warm and friendly place with excellent food. A place where you
always know you will get the freshest of everything. Comfortable furnishings and decor with

interesting native and cultural theme. The lounge will have comfy couches and antique love
seats with a softly lit bar. It will be the perfect place to stop in for a bite to eat, for a drink or
for a small business meeting. For extra comfort and exclusivity it certainly will please
individual, couples or large group of people.

Most important to us is our financial success and we believe this will be achieved by offering
high-quality service and excellent food with an interesting twist. We have created financial
projections based on our experience and knowledge of the area. With a start-up expenditure of
P385,000 we can generate P1,000,000 in sales by the end of year two, and produce good net
profits by the end of year three.

 Keeping food cost under 35% revenue.

 Keeping employee labor cost between 24-29% of revenue.

 Stay as a small restaurant with excellent food and service until improvement and
renovation is required.

 Averaging sales between P200,000-500,000 per year.

We hope to propose this along with optimistic view and long term community
development. The goal is to produce a captured market where all other industry thrive
in a habitat that will stir economic growth within the area thus helping marginalized
talent converted to highly productive team members. This will also generate more
interest of growing demand of fresh produce thus will open up opportunity to other
related services within the area. Even so this will help local commercial activities thus
helping other local bussiness as contributing factor.
