This budget represents the 100 initial families, where each will receive 5 Does, 1 buck and 1 Goat shed
ITEMS UNIT PRICE NO AMOUNT (UGX)
DOES 400,000 500 200,000,000
BUCKS 1,000,000 100 100,000,000
GOAT SHED CONSTRUCITON 1,000,000 100 100,000,000

OTHER COSTS (Transport,     200,000,000

training & Sensitization,
Admin, marketing, M&E etc)

TOTAL     500,000,000
Profitability analysis
Initial Investment:
•Each family receives 5 Does costing 400,000 Ugx each: 5 x 400,000 = 2,000,000 Ugx
•Each family receives 1 BUCK costing 1,000,000 Ugx
Year 1:
•5 Does give birth to 20 kids (4 kids per Doe).
•Total goats after one year: 5 Does + 20 kids = 25 goats.
Year 2:
•Assuming all goats survive, 5 Does give birth to 20 kids, while the previous year's kids don't give birth yet.
•Total goats after two years: 5 Does + 20 kids (Year 1) + 20 kids (Year 2) = 45 goats.
Year 3:
•Assuming all goats survive, 5 Does give birth to 20 kids, the Year 1 kids give birth to 80 kids, and Year 2 kids don't give
birth yet.
•Total goats after three years: 5 Does + 20 kids (Year 1) + 80 kids (Year 2) + 20 kids (Year 3) = 125 goats.
Profitability Analysis:
•After three years, each family will have 125 goats (including original Does and their offspring).
•Each family can give out 6 goats to the next family, with 2 goats remaining.
•This trend continues, leading to the accumulation of more goats over time, increasing wealth and potentially alleviating
poverty.
