1) WhAt is the total distance traveled by the plane?

2) What is the distance travelled at a constant speed?

3) Which letter shows the highest acceleration?

4) Calculate the acceleration of the plane in 1 minute.

Q2) 100 – 60 = 40

Speed x time → 40 x 15000 = 600000 meters

Q1) Section A: Q3) Section C; it’s the steepest slope.

Triangle’s area = (Base x height) ÷ 2 → (60 x 15000) ÷ 2 = 450000 (area 1)
Section B:
Q4) 60 sec = 1 min
100 – 60 = 40
Rectangle’s area = Base x height → 40 x 15000 = 600000 (area 2) Rise ÷ Run → 15000 ÷ 60 = 250 m/s²
Section C:
Find the triangle’s area first.
120 – 100 = 20 30000 – 15000 = 15000
(Base x height) ÷ 2 → (20 x 15000) ÷ 2 = 150000 (area 3)
Now find the rectangle’s area.
120 – 100 = 20
Base x height → 20 x 15000 = 300000 (area 4)
Add all the areas
300000 + 600000 + 450000 + 150000 = 1.5 x 10⁶ meters
