▹ What The Project Basically is-The Project Is The Ideal
Application Of How We Can Apply PiezoElectric Material
3
The Problem Statement “
Throughout The World The Annual Electricity Consumption Is
Crazy .The Resources For Producing Electricity Are So Scarce
That There Will Be None Left If We Don’t Sustain Them Find
Another Way To Produce Electricity .This Is Where Our Idea
Comes In

4
The Solution
Our Idea Is To Fit Piezoelectric Sensors Under The Streets By Digging
A Cavity Under The Streets We Walk On ,Place The Piezoelectric
Sensors Under It Which Are Attached To Hydraulics And A Material To
Cover The Streets(For Example- Recycled Polymer Or Recycled Tyres). If
We Use Piezoelectric Material Like This ,We Can Produce Thousands
Of Volts Of Electricity By Doing This In Heavily Populated Streets And
Even Mildly Populated Streets

5
How Does It Work And How Much Electricity Will It
Produce??????
The Scientific Reason Behind The Working Of Piezoelectric Material Is Basically A Special Type Of Crystal With
Polar Atoms That Are Cut In A Specific Way So That The Polar Electrons Are Opposite Of Each Other In A
Hexagonal Pattern. When Pressure Is Applied On This Configuration The Average Position Of The Polar Atoms Shifts
In Opposite Direction To One Another And On Connecting A Wire The To The Two Terminals The Electrons Will
Start To Flow From The Negative Electrode To The Positive Electrode Which Will Create A Charge.

Now The Question Remains-”How Much Electricity Will It Produce ?”.The Answer To That Is In A Formula Which
Is -

Where Is The Electric Potential Is The Force Applied The Constant Of Voltage Sensitivity Is The Thickness Of The
Material And Is The Area. For A Quartz Crystal The Is Always 0.05 And Lets Say The Force Applied Is 1000 And
The Crystal Is 1 In Thickness And 1 In Area And That Gives Us 50 Of Electricity When 1 Perso(OF 100) Walks On
Only One Of These Sensors Once!!!!!
