Storing Sandwiches

One of the most important activities after preparation.


Proper storage for sandwiches
1. Some ingredients and fillings should be stored in airtight containers,
refrigerated and ready to use.
2. Keep the bread tightly wrapped and in a moisture-proof wrapping.
3. Freeze the bread still enclosed in its packaging if it must be kept for
more than 1 day.
4. Wrap sandwiches with wax paper,
5. If the sandwiches are already unwrapped, stack sandwiches with wax
paper per layer; then cover the sandwiches with wax paper that’s
covered with a damp towel also covered with wax paper.
6. Refrigerate sandwiches for as long as possible.

7. Store all sandwiches with the recommended temperature (0.5℃).
8. Use all ingredients by the date and time requirement.

★ Packaging Material- used to package sandwich.
★ Cold Storage- the process of preserving perishable food on a large scale
by means of refrigeration.
★ Chilling- to refrigerate or to reduce the temperature of food
★ Freezing- application of low temperature that changes the state of water
in the food from liquid to solid ice.
★ Refrigeration- to keep it cold or cool.
