Safety comes first for our people, our contractors and the individuals in our
communities, and all work activities need to be conducted in a safe manner
that promotes personal health, safety and well-being.

All occupational incidents can be prevented.

Working safely is a condition of employment and each person is responsible

for their own safety as well as the safety of their teammates and the people
in the communities in which we work.

All Project people and contractors have the right and obligation to stop work
as soon as they identify a situation they believe to be unsafe.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not allowed in the general working area(s), except for

designated smoking areas located outside of office buildings, and
other specifically posted Designated Smoking locations.

Drug, Alcohol & Firearm Policy

Drugs, Alcohol or Firearms are not allowed on project property.

In the event of accident or illness apply the following guidelines:

In Case of Fire ALARM or Plant SIREN

If you see smoke, flames, or hear the fire alarm, IMMEDIATELY:

4. Follow the EXIT signs to the stairwell door and wait for further
instructions

Evacuation Procedures, Assembly Points

& House Rules

In Case of Evacuation
If in a building and evacuation is necessary:
1. Know and/or follow direction to the nearest evacuation routes
to the exit.
2. Prepare to evacuate by going to exit door and wait for further
instructions.
3. Evacuate the floor to a safe area if you feel your life is at risk.
4. If descending a stairwell, hold onto the handrail, do not run,
read or send text messages while on stairs.
5. When evacuating, go down to the ground floor and outside of
the building to a safe location or assembly point as directed.
6. DO NOT USE THE ELEVATORS unless you are instructed to do
so by the Emergency Services or Building Management.

7. DO NOT RETURN to the building or unless directed by the

Emergency Services or Building Management.

In Case of Evacuation
If in a Construction Work Area and
evacuation is necessary:
1. Prepare to evacuate as directed.
2. Evacuate to a safe area if you feel your life is at risk.
3. When evacuating, stay with your escort and follow them to
assembly point.
4. If necessary to exit the project, follow the evacuation routes
as directed to exit the project gate to the nearest Assembly
Point as directed.
5. DO NOT TAKE ANY OTHER MEANS OF EXIT unless you are
instructed to do so by the Emergency Services.

6. DO NOT RETURN to your work location unless directed by

the Emergency Services or your escort.

Site / Residency Rules
1.Always Have your badge visible.
2.Call ( Mobile No), in the event of a medical emergency, fire
or if you see smoke or you or someone need help. Also,
notify Security at ( Mobile No), when safe to do so.
3.Not to cross barricade or warning signs.
4.Always stay with escorts.
5.Intervene when you see an unsafe condition or unsafe act
and report it to Security at ( Mobile No).
6.Follow the Cardinal Safety Rules and Basic 7 Life Saving
Information’s at all times while on business and/or property.

While driving, do not use your phone and do not exceed speed limits

Drivers should…
• Not use a mobile phone or pager, send
or read a text message, or use a hands-
free mobile phone device

• Stay at or below the maximum allowable

speed for the road your are driving on as
indicated by road signs or Journey
Management instructions

• Stay at or below the maximum allowable

speed limit for the vehicle you are driving

• Adjust your speed to the prevailing

conditions

• The speed limit inside the plant is

20KM/Hrs.

Wear your seat belt

Drivers and Passengers should…

• Always use a 3-point seatbelt (please note
exceptions* below)
• Check that your seatbelt works properly
• Keep your seatbelt properly fastened while in
a moving vehicle
• Check that everyone in the vehicle is wearing
a seatbelt properly before starting to drive
• Intervene when your fellow passengers are
not wearing seatbelts properly
* Exceptions include vehicles where only lap
seatbelts are available or in public transport where
seat belts are not available.

Follow prescribed Journey Management Plan

Drivers should…
• Confirm if a Journey Management Plan is
required before starting the journey
• Discuss the Journey Management Plan with
the authorised person
• Understand the Journey Management Plan
before starting the journey
• Comply with the duty, driving and rest hours
specified in the Journey Management Plan
• Follow the route specified in the Journey
Management Plan
• Always tell the authorised person
immediately if changes occur
