Background of the Author
The story that is stated and discussed is about a before religious fanatic, Naty Angeles was
devastated because of her loss that’s why she resorted to being angry to God given that she did her
best to praise and worship him, and she even involved her son in her fanaticism.
Her son is a student in Ateneo de Naga in which his son is also involved in a fraternity. Due to its
initiation rights, he did suffer physically and brutally. His organs are damaged beyond repair and his
body is as weak as a stringbean. The story progresses as the mother, Naty, continues her journey in
many themes discussed in the plot.
The train stated in the title itself, is the magical motif that rumbles across the plotline, in which it
connects sorrow with rage, loss and recovery, justice and disorder. As the train moves, a story is
told about a mother who comes home to bring her son to rest in peace.
Bikol osipon analysis
But this is not literally coming home, and this is not literally a train. It is the land where mountains
come alive and where distant islands are monsters that fell as stars from the sky. The train knows it
and Naty, the keeper of the urn of memory and justice, is also the keeper of the tale.
As the story progresses,so as Naty’s dedication in finding the answers to her questions. Through the
plotline of the story, we can see that Naty is a dedicated mother that will do everything in her power
to save the one she loves, given that she loved God before, but now she wants to serve justice to the
people who killed her son.
Bikol osipon analysis
The characters in the story are widely recognized as they serve a vital role for Naty’s grievance and
despair. She is in the midst of darkness as she encounters the conflict. The emotions that are
portrayed in the story are deep and beyond what others may think it is.
From the story itself, it gives off light to the things that we don’t really see in broad daylight.
Where people grieving can really do everything to ease the pain they have. In conclusion, the story
itself is a journey indeed portraying many things, but most of all, it centers about the idea of life and
death, that it is indeed inevitable.
Social Relevance
It is relate to what situation what we have in our country. The mother needs
to go in abroad in order to fullfil the dreams of Joshua which is to become a
lawyer. To provide needs they need to work and sacrifice in abroad.
In the story even though we are in the broken family we don’t need to
migrate to provide the needs of our family we need to know what's the
situation of your children that you left and also you don't know what does it
feels or what emotion is.
Social Relevance
The truth about how blinding social justice are, when it comes to the poor.
that even the largest religous organization can afford to control by them,
those people from upper/higher status.
