    Your Resume should look like a data scientists resume
    Sometime you have to mould your resume based on keywords in the job
    description
    If you have non data science experience make sure that’s not the first thing that
    recruiter should read
    Spend time in making sure that the projects you have done is well expressed in
    the resume. If possible get it reviewed with a Data Scientist
    Be prepare to invest time in tuning and changing your resume based on the job
    description.

    3. Python – Specially Data cleaning activities


    4. SQL
    5. Working with data in cloud
    What is recruiter expecting from you

    1. They want you to do well. No one wants to waste time if they don’t feel you are a potential
    match for them.
    2. Are you good enough to work in their organization?

    3. What kind of project are you involved in your past organizations and projects?
    4. Have you been involved in handling large volumes of data?
    5. Have you productionized your ML model? If not then what was the outcome of your project?
    6. What value/impact did your data science project create? Why should I buy your model. What’s
    in it for me?
    7. Can you explain me the value ML will add given I am unaware of Data Science. Why should I
    trust your algorithm
    How to start an interview

    The initial few minutes of every interview is vital. Just give a quick introduction about yourself and
    transition your conversation from your personal information to your data science project.

    Talk 2-3 minutes about your project. Explaining the following three things
    1. Objective of the project
    2. Your role in the project
    3. Challenges you faced in the project

    While you talk about your project please make sure you are mentioning the challenges faced by
    you while working in the project and also how you overcame them

    Even if you think that the projects that you have done is not challenging and interviewer looks
    disinterested talk about your data cleaning skills and express your passion by talking how you
    made sure you eliminated the problem of messy data, unstructured data, data drift.
    What should you do now

    Get yourself a medium subscription


    Maintain a short notes of all the algorithms you know
    Practice two challenging SQL questions everyday
    Write a blog every week
    Keep building your LinkedIn profile
