LCP LYCORZIP INSTALLATION DETAILS
KICK OFF OF A PROJECT
Receive the WORK ORDER from Client Based on the received input CAD drawing of the roof plan , LCP Design department will work out the roof sheet layout and arrive the tentative length of sheet from ridge to eave & no of sheets. Same drawings and BOQ shall be sent to client for confirmation and after conformation , LCP shall plan , check the materials and coils availability accordingly. SITE VISIT
Site visit has to be done by the LCP authorised person
to check for site readiness before roll forming machine sent to site. Profile machine will be sent to site when LCP in charge certified that site is ready for sheet roll forming Approximate Area required for roll forming is 10m x 50m =500sqm. Preferable location is at the Gable side of the building. The required area may be increased depends up on the length and quantity of the sheets. SITE REQUIREMENT Loading & Unloading of profile machine container ,Fixing of coils in decoiler at site with help of 15 Ton Hydra 2nos at the ground level. Power of 22 KV(Lycorzip) will be Required for Roll forming machine and the same need to be provided by the client . Adequate man power required to start the roll forming for handling the roll formed sheets & loading of coils in decoiler need to be provided by Client. PROFILE MACHINE LOADING IN SITE AT GROUND LEVEL PROFILE SHEETS HANDLING Before start the roll forming power & coil loading has to be done. Place the roller stands at 2mtr intervals to hold the roll formed sheets. Workers used for forming to handle the sheets they must wear proper PPES & safety induction to be done . Workers should be placed 4mtr intervals to handle the sheets. For stocking the roll formed sheets 1mtr x100mm wooden pieces placed in ground surface of 2mtrs intervals. PROFILED SHEETS HANDLING AT GROUND LEVEL PROFILING
Roll formed (LYCORZIP) sheets are stacked not
more than 15nos in a bundle. Sheets are stacked not more than the required qty . It may cause difference in width of sheets. Stacked Roll formed sheets were tied properly by wire rope in 5mtrs interval. Profile sheets should be handled with care at all times to preserve the quality of the finish. Sheets should be always be kept dry and stored above ground level whilst on site. LENGTH The sheets are manufactured at LCP Building Products factory or on construction site. The length of the sheet is a function of design requirements ,geometry of the roof , site conditions and Workability ,height of the rib and transportation constraints. Lengths specified must be actual site measurements and not plan dimensions. The length should be measured accurately by the site in charge from ridge to eave and to be informed to the LCP roll forming machine operator. Allowance should be made for clearance at the ridge of normally around 50mm At the eaves. the overhang allowed for in to the gutter which is normally not less than 50mm. The tolerance of the length of product supplied is ± 15mm . LYCORZIP PROFILE LCP LYCORZIP Standing seam roof profile of 480mm effective cover width having crest height of 75mm. Sheet seamed with heavy duty electrical portable seaming machine to withstand wind uplift and foot traffic.
Standing seam roof system is an exceptional
water proofing roof system due to its high ribs. LYCORZIP SINGLE - SKIN ROOF SYSTEM LYCORZIP SINGLE - SKIN ROOF SYSTEM LYCORZIP DOUBLE - SKIN ROOF SYSTEM LYCORZIP DOUBLE - SKIN ROOF SYSTEM SHEET LIFTING PROCESS Roll formed sheet are to be stacked adjacent only Before lifting the sheets to roof we have to tie the rope from ground to roof. Rope to be connected in bottom to the pegs and top to the Gable angle. Pegs to be hammered in ground surface with the interval of minimum 2 metres. Pegs should be placed adjacent from 5mtr from the building in gable end or to be increased more as per site condition. Profiled sheet need to be bundled and safely barricaded at site by client with some safety signage boards to avoid damage of sheet due to any passing by vehicles or other third parties if any at site . Working platform has to be planned always at the gable end for lifting the sheets and for roll forming. SHEET FIXING
Before Lifting the sheets the installer need to
check the purlin alignments and sag rods or channels are installed . Purlin spacing should be as per design requirement or maximum 1500mm. Gutters has to be fixed in the eave end before fixing of sheets. The first sheet has to be fixed with proper alignment as per given drawing specifications . FASTENERS Fixing of clips EJOT or any approved ® Fasteners were used . Per clip minimum 2nos fasteners need to be used. fasteners qty may be increased depends up on the wind load calculation. The flat shape of the screw head is very important and the installer to ensure the head shall not puncture the flat plan of the roof sheet. CLIPS FIXING CLIP DRAWING - GI SEAMING PROCESS FOR LYCORZIP FOOT TRAFFIC
Standing seam roof can be walked on
anywhere without damaging it. It is advisable to walk on the flat portion of the panel or at the purlin location for a better performance of the profile. LCP Standing seam roofing shall not be used as a working platform. Use a safety rope ,wear proper rubber footwear, wear safety glasses ,gloves ,anchors and fall protection system need to be used. Each and every step need to be placed safely with utmost attention Foot traffic at the flashing location , Roof ridge location , sheet overhang location need to be avoided. CUTTING
Sheeting can be cut, where necessary, by means of
metal snips or electrical nibbler. The cutting discs should be mostly avoided . CLEAN UP Ensure that all debris ,nails ,rivets ,screws and especially filings& particles from cutting or drilling , are carefully cleared from the surface after each day’s work to avoid premature corrosion of LCP roofing profiles OIL CANNING As in all flat pan-roofing profiles, the flat surfaces of the metal sheets may exhibit some degree of undulation known as “Oil Canning” The extent and degree of oil canning will generally depend on factors such as width of the flat pan, the radius of the curved roof, variations in level of the purlins or batten supports, etc. Oil canning is regarded as an inherent characteristic, not a defect of flat pan standing seam roofing profiles SOLAR PANEL FIXING PROVISION Seaming portion of our LCP Lycorzip shall be used as a clamp rail for fixing solar panels. Solar panels shall be fixed by means of “U” clamps that are being tightened to the seaming portion of LCP standing seam panels. TYPICAL FIXING DRAWING SOLAR PANEL FIXING PROVISION Bolts of the U clamp shall be tightened manually to the seaming portion of the standing seam panel. Care should be ensured that the seaming portion or sheet has not been damaged or punctured on carrying the above exercise. Once the U clamps has been fixed solar panel frames shall be connected to U clamp by means of bolt available at the crest of the U clamp. SOLAR PANEL FIXING PROVISION Solar panel clamps shall be not in LCP scope as it is in general available with the solar panels supply / Installation vendors. Fall arrest system vendors also have these type of clamps which can also be used for fixing solar panels. Data sheet and load chart shall be provided by the concerned vendors. SOLAR PANEL FIXING PROVISION Sample image of clamp available with M/S Karam. ASSEMBLY IMAGE Thank you ………………
