PART -A
• For Fatma and Jasper –The project is still in its Initiation stages.
Fatma and Jasper do not have a clear scope of the project.
 A well-defined scope statement that includes-Objective, Priorities, budgets ,

requirements, limits and exclusion needs to be defined for both the projects.
Whereas for Viktoria-Project is in its implementation or execution phase as they

had just completed the second prototype and were entering a testing phase.

PART-B
• Part-B clearly defines the aspects of Planning Stage.
• For Fatima and Jasper the project is still in Planning stages.
• And the teams are investing efforts to understand the Risk assessment and
management in the projects. The plans created during this phase will help the project
team manage time, cost, quality, changes, risk and related issues.
• For Viktoriar the project is still in it is execution or implementation phase as the

firm during Planning stage already denoted the time for risk management.

Part C
• Part C defines the Closure Stage of a Project. It capture the insights or lesson
learned to identify
• the successful elements/ trails/ process in the Project
• Improvement areas to incorporate for future project development phases
• value addition to the organization .
• It involves the discussion of importance of Retrospective meeting for

identifying the lessons and shortcomings observed from the current project
that can be applied for the future project.

The Correct Action plan
• Project implementation by Viktoria's Team was successful due to below reasons :
• Defining a clear SCOPE for the Project to include the objectives, priorities, budgets and
requirements.
• To keep the stakeholders in loop all the time.
• Risk Assessment during the Planning stages to predict what and when could go wrong and taking
corrective actions to address them.
• Given importance to the continuous improvement plan and process through Retrospective
meetings

Take away points from the case study
• Identification of the GOAL or SCOPE of the project and its understanding by other team members. It would
summarize all the key points like:
 Constantly changing requirements
 Pivoting the project direction when you are already mid-way
 Realizing that the final outcome isn’t what was expected
 Going over the discussed budget
 Falling behind the project deadlines
• Identification of priorities for the project and keeping Stakeholder in loop throughout the project.
• RISK ASSESSMENT AND MITIGATION STRATEGIES:
 This aspect falls under PLANNING stage .Thorough brainstorming sessions to predict the failures should be
carried during this stage. This exercise can save the entire project by assessing the risks beforehand and
coming up with the corrective action plan .

Compare this case study with our project with Examples
• Project Example 1:
Suppose If we are initiating/developing a app or Construction of a building, we
need to identify the what's the risk and what are the major problems will impact in
execution time, we need to identify in initial stage itself. Main thing is we need to
know that what's the proper requirement customers are expecting from us If we
don’t have proper planning while executing this will impact on Scope, cost and
quality. And project may fail to identify all the activities required to create the
deliverables.

• The importance of Project management in organizations cant be overstated. When

its done right, it helps every part of the business run more smoothly. It allows your
team to focus on work that matters, free from the distractions caused by tasks
going off track or budget spinning out of control.
• In todays competitive world project managements helps team in various aspects,
like – defining a plan, enforce a teamwork, manage integrations, control cost,
manage changes, managing quality, retain and use knowledge and learning form
failure.
• Project management is important because it sets your project from being out of
scope. Apart form productivity, improving project transparency, and providing a
clear vision to the team.

• In Viktoria’s project they have well defined project plan in place with scope,
objectives, priorities, budget etc has been developed and clearly defined. They
have aligned their project with proper project management methodology to
concur the overall goals.
• They had scheduled timely retrospectives to understand what went
wrong/well, and that lessons may apply in future projects. Learning from
failure is one more aspect of project management.
• They had a proper back-up plan in place if one project failure, risk
management is also an important aspect of project management.

• In Jasper’s project they don’t have a proper defined scope ,objectives ,budgets and
lack to have a proper project plan in place to achieve the overall project goal.
• As requirement is not defined and discussed with stakeholders they ran out of
time.
• They could have succeeded with their project if they have –
• Well defined and discussed Project plan
• Teamwork
• Focus on Quality
• Continuous Oversight
• Risk Management
