personality. It should be a part
of the character as a person

conduct or rules of conduct,
as shown is the prevalent
customs; habitual
deportation, especially with
reference to polite
conventions
ETIQUETTE

 Consist of “an act of rules of living in


our society”
 The word etiquette comes from Old
French means “ticket” or “label”. The
word etiquette originally meant he
ticket of entrance to France’s court
ceremonies – upon this ticket were
written the rules of court behavior

Introductions are an
important part of good
manners and you must
accept the responsibility
and perfect the skill of
performing them with a
natural ease.
 
RULES OF INTRODUTION
1. Mentioning name of person you are honoring
first
2. Business reversal of ordinary introduction
3. Acknowledge an introduction
4. Shaking hands
5. Rising for an introduction
6. Introducing oneself
7. When incorrectly introduces, it is only sensible
that the error be corrected immediately
MANNERS AT THE TABLE
Neatness, noiselessness and
sociability are the goals of
dining etiquette. It is
defined as the forms,
manners and ceremonies
established by convention
as acceptable or required
in social relations, in a
profession, or in official
life.
TABLE & DINING ETIQUETTE
1. Hold the knife and fork correctly
2. The fork is slipped under the food, and the morsel lifted
up and conveyed to the mouth
3. Get conservatively – sized bites
4. Sit erect at the table
5. Things eaten with fork – meat, vegetables, salads etc
6. Things eaten with the fingers – bread, rolls, sandwiches
etc
7. Never use your bread to mop your plate
8. Take soup with a spoon, spooning away from you
9. If you drop your silverwares, leave it there
