All most used functionalities that you will need when drawing diagram.

- All checked out diagrams can be activated from Diagram dropdown menu
- Used systems and pipelines of active diagram can be selected and assigned

Modify – Custom Symbols
You can convert from drafting lines a
custom symbol made equipment which
can be modified later
Drafting lines can be copied from .dwg

file with simple copy paste command

Drafting
There is no more different drafting module in diagram and you will find all from diagram
tool it self
Edit and Properties command can be found from drop down menu or from context menu
when ever you want to edit drafting objects
To edit drafting lines there is not needed to open this tab

Context menu can be opened every time when you activate line

Drafting
All Drafting import tools are able to be used from this menu.
Handling of reference drawings is made better and those will be written to the ASCII files
only when you modify those. This will make save and opening time of diagram with
reference drawings faster.
Whole blocks can be imported from dwg files just by selecting those from list with Import
Blocks tool
dwg drawings can be opened with new Cadmatic Viewer and those can be edit as in
Autocad.

Drafting
Everything can be copied easily from existing .dwg

diagrams to the Cadmatic as a drafting object.
Later object can be transferred as a Custom made

equipment or pipeline

Drafting
With Piperun object templates you can select drafting

lines to be changed to a Cadmatic pipeline object

Drafting
Blocks can be imported as a 2D
symbols and those can be used later
as any symbol in Cadmatic and those
can be linked to the Object templates.

Miscellaneous commands to be used in diagram

- Highlight pipelines installed to 3D model
- New Work Request tool

File menu
All mostly needed functions from Manage Diagrams
are also under File
You can now manage your diagrams better directly

from File
- Save, Open, Export, Print.
You can see your resent documents and Check

out/open any of those by selecting it from list
Difference between Save, Update to

COS and Publish to 3D
Save
- Local save from diagram.
Update to COS
- Save diagram to the cos.
- Diagram will be included to the backup
- Same as Check In and Out
- Modification in diagram will remain only in use
of diagrams
Publish to 3D
- Creates EPD objects from all objects in diagram
and check it in.
- Send updated data from diagram to 3D model

All settings will be found now from Options and it
looks same as in PM.
New features are:

same default values at once.

There is clear mark if end of pipeline
is not connected.
If drawing of pipeline is started or

ended over equipment, there will be
question if line is wanted to be
connected.

As a new function there is Highlight All objects

With this function you can see also all pipes that
has been installed completly to the model
One line diagram for Electrics

Diagrams are not anymore only for P&I purpose. There is now added Electrical part also
You can draw one line diagrams and those will be integrated with Cable Router
Using of electrical diagram is exactly same as using of piping diagrams
When you create a diagram there is selection if it is P&I or Electric diagram.

One line diagram

There is needed to be defined at least one electric circuit for every cable system that is
used.

For cables there is new object template category Cable. These Object templates are
working same way as Pipes, but datatables are different.
Oneline diagram
One line in diagram will be one cable in model, so data will be given for
lines.

After Diagram has been published to the PM You will see cables in Cable
Router and those can be created there.
One line diagram

When you have both P&I diagram and Electrical you will use same posid’s
for same Equipments or Armatures and there is less mistakes.
Data between P&I and Electrical is updated all the time.
You can see if component is already in model

Topological Diagram - 3D Model

• Better Control what has been done and what is missing
• You will find mistakes, when comparing 3D to the Diagram
• Users can’t select wrong material so easily
• 3D Model is done acc.to diagram

When Routing of pipe is stared can see only pipelines that are connected
to this object.
When Routing is started you will see a guide where the

pipe should be routed.

Tools related to Compare Diagram and 3D are found from Tools > Diagram
There is separated tools to

- Compare Object data with Compare with Diagram
- Compare topology
- To link/unlink objects “Manage Integration Objects”

Compare with Diagram will show you all differences that there is
between objects checked out by you and diagram.

In Compare Topology (2014Q2) you will select first which diagrams you
want to compare.

As a result you will get all differences that there are.

With Manage integration objects you can link or unlink diagram objects to
3D objects.

When you open diagram to browse mode,
You can check what is status of total routing
of pipes and other objects in selected
diagram.
