PREFACE

It is said that without theory, practice is blind and without practice theory is meaningless.
Hence practical training has been made integral part of the management education in
India. The training programmers are designed to give a manager the future of the
corporate happenings and work culture.
It exposes the potential of the manager of the future to the actual tune of the working
environment present is dynamic organization.
Personnel management is that part of management concerned with the people at work and
with their relationships within the organization.
Training is the process of increasing the knowledge and skill for doing a particular job. It
is an organized procedure by which people learn knowledge and skill for a definite
purpose. The purpose of training is basically to bridge the gap between job requirements
and present competency of an employee.
I am fortunate project I tried to find out the working methods and techniques, which is
enough to get the opportunity of vocational training at Welspun Corp Ltd.

I, Menika sharma, Student of III Semester (MBA (rtu)), Arya College of


engineering & I.T on the
project “Training and Development Programme” is the result of my own
efforts and it
is based on data collected and guidance given to me.
I have prepared it during my Internship from 26September 2020 and the
project was
completed on 10 Oct 2020. This report is correct to best of my knowledge
and so far
has not been published anywhere else.
INTRODUCTION OF THE PROJECT

Human Resource Management (HRM), a relatively new


term, that emerged during the 1930s. Many people used to
refer it before by its traditional titles, such as Personnel
Administration or Personnel Management. But now, the
trend is changing. It is now termed as Human Resource
Management (HRM). Human Resource Management is a
management function that helps an organization select,
recruit, train and develops.

DEMAND DETERMINANTS OF THE INDUSTRY

 Demand is defined as the ability and willingness to buy specific quantities of goods in a given
period of time at a particular price

 In Wels pun Corp limited demand should be determined as based on the price of the product.
Our company product is pipe and plates. Both the products will be sold by based on steel price.
 Both Pipe and Plate Product is a steel stainless. So the price is considered as on the steel + crude
oil.
 .Demand determinants of industry is based on steel price . If price will be increase then demand will
also increases.

 IN WESLPUN INDIA LIMITED the demand should be determined as the advertisement


base and price should be determined as a particular price of the particular product.

 IN WCL Distribution channel is going through Raw Materials →


Manufacturer → End consumer.
 Our company product is Pipe , Plate and coil. So 95% of the product
distributed to the direct consumer .
 If 5% low quality product is there so it will be distributed to the traders

 IN WIL ( WESLPUN INDIA LIMITED) Distribution channel is going


through Raw Materials → Manufacturer → Business distributor → End
consumer. 
 WELSPUN INDIA Products are Towels , Bed sheets, Bath Robes
and carpets etc… In Welspun India the product is distributing in other way
that means after manufacturing the product the company sell the product to
Wall Mart industry to check the product quality . After then the business
distributor distribute the product to the consumer.

 IN WCL There re some issues related to demand issues. That means
If the company wants to make the product so they will get the order of
raw materials .
 If they did not get the order properly they cant make the
product. Mainly need the raw material .
 So our company have a marketing manager he have the responsibility
to go for marketing to take the raw materials.
 
 Sometimes company will facing the problems related to get the proper
order. So they have to overcome the problem.

Group, which is among the Largest Welded Line Pipe
manufacturing companies in the world.
 In the year 2008, Welspun Corp Ltd. (WCL) was ranked as the
2nd Largest (Large Diameter) Pipe Producer by Financial Times
UK, and also been awarded 'The Emerging Company of the Year'
by Economic Times. Since then the total Welded Pipe capacity
rose to 2.425 MMTPA making us the largest player in the
segment. 
 With a strong culture of 'Engineering Excellence,' WCL takes
pride in manufacturing and supplying to some of the most critical
pipelines in the world from its plants in India, Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia and USA. 
 The company has to its credentials supplies to world's one of the
deepest pipeline project (Independence Trail in Gulf of Mexico),
one of the highest pipeline project (Peru LNG), one of the longest
pipeline (Canada to US) and the project involving supplies of one
of the heaviest pipe  (56 inch X 1.34inch in Persian Gulf). WCL
has a list of  esteemed clientele which includes Chevron, DOW,
Elpaso, Enterprise, Exxon Mobil, GAIL, Hunt Oil, Kinder
Morgan, PTTEP, Qatar Petroleum, Reliance, Saudi Aramco, Shell,
Statoil, TOTAL and TransCanada to name a few.
FUNCTIONAL DEPARTMENT

In otherwise they are conductive a interview as three ways

3. Aptitude test
In Hr department they are providing a
internship training and they are the
responsibility to give the certificate
after the training.

exchange rates.

Social factors : social factor will be considered as on the CSR ( Corporate

Environmental factor : It will be considered on the CSR project that


is Navachetna project will be conduct on vershamedi
village.
