ZX-U2S
• USB to SERIAL TTL-level UART convertor miniboard.

• The INEX ZX-U2S board is a very small development tool based on the FT232RL USB to Serial
UART interface chip. INEX created this tool in order to provide microcontroller developers to
have easy access to a PCs USB port using the FTDI virtual device drivers. This tool is also a
reference design for customer-based applications using the FTDI chip in-circuit.

infrared LED board for infrared remote control or wireless communications. Supplied with three-

GP2Y0A21
• The Sharp distance sensors are a popular choice for many projects that require accurate distance
measurements. This IR sensor is more economical than sonar rangefinders, yet it provides much better
performance than other IR alternatives. Interfacing to most microcontrollers is straightforward: the single
analog output can be connected to an analog-to-digital converter for taking distance measurements, or the
output can be connected to a comparator for threshold detection. The detection range of this version is
approximately 10 cm to 80 cm (4" to 32"); a plot of distance versus output voltage is shown below.

• The GP2Y0A21 uses a 3-pin JST connector that connects to our 3-pin JST cable for Sharp distance sensors
(not included) as shown in the upper picture on the right. It is also simple to solder three wires to the sensor
where the connector pins are mounted (see the lower picture to the right). When looking at the back, the
three connections from left to right are power, ground, and the output signal.
S P E C I F I C AT I O N S :
• operating voltage: 4.5 V to 5.5 V
• average current consumption: 30 mA (typical)
• distance measuring range: 10 cm to 80 cm (4" to 32")
• output type: analog voltage
• output voltage differential over distance range: 1.9 V (typical)
• response time: 38 ? 10 ms
• package size: 29.5?13.0?13.5 mm (1.16?0.5?0.53")
• weight: 3.5 g (0.12 oz)
SRF-05
• The SRF05 is an evolutionary step from the SRF04, and has been designed to increase flexibility,
increase range, and to reduce costs still further. As such, the SRF05 is fully compatible with the
SRF04. Range is increased from 3 meters to 4 meters. A new operating mode (tying the mode pin
to ground) allows the SRF05 to use a single pin for both trigger and echo, thereby saving valuable
pins on your controller. When the mode pin is left unconnected, the SRF05 operates with separate
trigger and echo pins, like the SRF04. The SRF05 includes a small delay before the echo pulse to
give slower controllers such as the Basic Stamp and Picaxe time to execute their pulse in
commands.
S P E C I F I C AT I O N S :

• MAXIMUM RANGE 4m
• INPUT TRIGGER 10ms minimum, TTL level pulse
