Mercedes- Benz

Mercedes-Benz is a German manufacturer of automobiles, buses, coaches, and trucks.

It is currently a division of the parent company, Daimler AG (formerly DaimlerChrysler AG),
after previously being owned by Daimler-Benz. Mercedes-Benz has its origins in Karl Benz's
creation of the first automobile in January 1886, and by Gottlieb Daimler and engineer
Wilhelm Maybach's conversion of a carriage by the addition of a petrol engine the same
year. The Mercedes automobile was first marketed in 1901 by Daimler Motoren Gesellschaft.
The first Mercedes-Benz brand name vehicles were produced in 1926, following the merger
of Karl Benz's and Gottlieb Daimler's companies into the Daimler-Benz company.
Mercedes-Benz has introduced many technological and safety innovations that have
become common in other vehicles several years late r.

The History of  Mercedes- Benz

Gottlieb Daimler and Carl Benz were born only 60 miles apart in southern Germany.
Daimler was born March 17, 1834. A decade later,  on November 25, Carl Benz was born.

It all started with two different ideas from two different men with two different cars.
Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz each created their own companies, manufacturing their own
cars.
Their companies produced brilliant automobiles as rivals for about 30 years, until
economic ties caused their two respectful companies to merge and create what today is the
greatest automobile in the world. Here is a brief history of the Mercedes Benz from it's early
days as a motor cycle engine to today's ground breaking automobile

Mercedes Benz - Brand History

Mercedes is a girl's name of Spanish origin, referring to a title for the Virgin Mar.

The legendary brand Mercedes Benz is now associated with luxury and excellence. But the
story witnesses that the first steps that resulted into such a great success were made by two
people who hardly knew each other.

Mercedes models include luxury cars, buses, vans, SUV's, trucks, but Mercedes is most famous
for its motor car racing involvement.

Two different men came up with two different ideas about two different cars. However
surprising this fact is but the truth is that Gottlieb Daimler and Karl Benz created their own
separate companies and produced their own cars. Moreover these companies were rivals for
more than 30 years. But later on due to economic reasons the companies merged and a most
powerful automobile factory was established.
