FACTORS AFFECTING BUSINESS
OPPORTUNITIES IN A COMMUNITY

 Market (target clientele) – most important factor in any business. You need
to assess if there are people who are interested to buy your products or avail
of your services. A simple survey of the needs and preferences of the people
in your community may lead to a ready market.

 Capital (adequacy of funds) – major factor to be considered in putting up a

business. You need funds to build an electronic ship, purchase tools and
materials for repair and maintenance, and buy stocks to sell, for example.
FACTORS AFFECTING BUSINESS
OPPORTUNITIES IN A COMMUNITY

 Demand for product or service arises from the needs of the people in the
community. Almost every household has electronic gadgets and appliances
which may soon need to be repaired. An electronics shop for parts and repair
is good business opportunity.

 Manpower to serve the needs of your clients, whether as a salespeople or

technician, is another important consideration in putting up an electronics
shop.

OPPORTUNITIES IN A COMMUNITY

 Skills to run and manage the business plus the necessary skills in operating,
repairing, and maintaining electronic appliances and gadgets are also
important. An entrepreneur knows his/her products well can confidently deal
with both clients and competitors.

 Technology is at the heart of the electronics industry. Innovations will greatly

affect the business and keeping abreast on terms of product research will help
ensure that the business will continuously meet the demand for improved
products and services.
