    Watching too much television can be bad for children in several ways. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children under 2 not watch TV at all and those older watch no more than 1-2 hours per day. Too much TV can influence children to imitate behaviors and language from television that may not be appropriate. It can also weaken children's eyesight if they watch for long hours. Moderation in television viewing is important to protect children's health and development.

    Communicative Purpose
    • To tell the readers about negative impacts that affects children by
    watching too much Television (TV)
    Generic Structure
    Thesis
    • The Thesis is the structure that introduces and shows speaker or writer's
    position. For example the first paragraph of the text
    • Television plays very important role in our lives, and it is also main
    source of entertainment. We watch TV whenever we are free, or
    sometimes while working, and learn many things...(1st Paragraph)
    Arguments
    • It consist about points and elaboration points, states the main argument of
    the topic. For example the second, third, fourth paragraph of the text.
    • The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recommends that kids under
    2 years old not watch any TV and that those older than 2 watch no more
    than 1 to 2 hours a day... (2nd Paragraph)
    • Many children tend to follow their favorite actors or actress and imitate
    them by wearing same cloths, following same attitude and try to speak
    same languages... (4th Paragraph)
    Conclusion
    • Is the structure that restating the writers point of view. For example the
    last paragraph of the text.
    • Watching TV too much could make children following some clothes,
    attitudes, and language which may be bad for them. Too much watching
    TV also will weaken children eyes. Thus, watching TV too much is bad
    for children. (5th paragraph)
