'Pan' means 'place where people gather'
and 'sori' means 'sound' = PANSORI
- Involves a singer(Sorigun 소리 Pansori are also called 'Korean Opera'

- The singer tells a very long story,
following the beats of the drum(buk), and makes a very epic story while combining elements called 'Sori', 'Balim' and 'Aniri' 4 IMPORTANT ROLES : Aniri( 아니리 )

Gosu ( 고수 )
- Drummer. They raise the excitement of
the singer.
Balim( 발림 )
- The singer holding a fan and according
to the situation, they express the story through song and lift their hands, or open the fan and dance, making gestures.
Chuimsae( 추임새 )
- This is the role of the Gosu but ALSO
the role of the audience. In order to help raise the singer's excitement, they say things like 'Jalhanda!', 'Eolssigu!' 'Johta!' Which means 'good job!' 'Great!' 5 BACKGROUND: Chun-hyang-ga( 춘향가 ) Shim-cheong-ga( 심청가 ) Hong-bo-ga( 홍보가 ) Su-gung-ga( 수궁가 ) Jeok-byeok-ga( 적벽가 )
