Komunikasi bukan lisan? What is non-
verbal communication?
“Action speaks louder than words”
 Juga dikenali sebagai komunikasi melibatkan pergerakan
badan
 Also known as communication involving non-verbal
behaviors.
 Perlakuan ditakrifkan sebagai bentuk tindakan yang boleh
menyampaikan makna
 a pattern of action that will accomplish the representation
of meaning

Bentuk komunikasi bukan lisan (types of non-


verbal communication)
Kinesik (kinesics) – pergerakan badan (body
movements)
Prosemik (proxemic) – penggunaan ruang (use of
space)
Haptik (haptic) – sentuhan (touch communication)
Paralanguage (nada suara)
Kinesik (kinesics)

Merujuk kepada gerakan anggota badan manusia semasa


berkomunikasi (The study of non-verbal communication
through face and body movements)
Antara jenis kinesic ialah emblems dan ilustrator (2 Types
of kinesics are emblems and illustrator)
Emblems: isyarat badan yang digunakan untuk
menyampaikan maksud. (Emblems are body gestures
that directly translates into words or phrases. E.g. : the
OK sign, thumbs up and the v for victory)
Emblems are culture specific. Be careful when using
emblems
Ilustrator: Gerak tangan bersama bahasa lisan untuk
mengukuhkan lagi mesej (illustrators enhance the verbal
messages they accompany. E.g : when referring to
something to the left, you might gesture toward the left)
Prosemik (Proxemic)

Merujuk kepada penggunaan ruang.


The study of spatial communication (space)
Edward Hall (1959, 1963, 1976) membezakan 4 jenis
proxemik untuk menerangkan hubungan dan tahap
komunikasi kepada
Edward Hall (1959, 1963, 1976) distinguishes four
proxemic distances that define types of relationships
between people and the types of communication in which
they are likely engaged
