    EARLY LIFE
    • Born at Travis Air Force Base in California
    • Emergency c-section
    • Had open-heart surgery in the same hospital at the
    age of the 2 and 1/2
    • Lived in Utah until 2002
    • Raised in Vegas since 2002
    • Always consider upstate New York as my Home
    SCHOOL CAREER
    • Grew up in the Clark County School District (CCSD)
    • Went to 7 different elementary schools 
    • Diagnosed with dyslexia in 5th grade
    • Attended Cram Middle School 
    • Attended North West Career and Technical Academy in their biomedical program 
    • Graduated from North West Career and Technical Academy with an Honors Diploma in
    2016
    • Currently attending College of Southern Nevada for the Elementary Education Associates
    Degree
    • Will attend University of Nevada Las Vegas in the fall
    CAREER GOALS
    • Since I was 8 years old, I wanted to be an OBGYN
    • The biomedical program was incredibly difficult, and a few biomedical teachers discouraged
    me from that career path
    • In my junior year of high school, I decided I did not want to go into the medical field 
    • Always had a passion for kids and decided the best career for me at this point was to become
    a teacher
    RELIGIOUS BELIEFS
    • Raised in a Baptist household 
    • Attending West Craig Road Baptist Church since the age
    of 6
    • Very involved in church activities 
    • Volunteer in church nursery 
    • Vacation Bible School leader
    • Youth Camp counselor 
    • Don’t agree with all of the Christian views 
    • Definitely do not agree with the hypocrisy and prejudice 
    MY FAMILY
    • Mom, Dad, little brother Taven, my puppy
    • Best friend Chandler 
    • Grandparents and great grandparents 
    • Aunts and uncles and 3 cousins 
    • My dogs aka my babies
    • Most of my family comes from a military
    background 
    • Rare genetic disorder that runs in family
    OCTOBER FIRST
    • My dad and uncle are police officers for the Las Vegas metropolitan police department.
    • My uncle was shot at in his cop car on las vegas boulevard
    • My dad was the first officer to respond to the call
    • My dad was laid off for neglect of duty
    • We still have not heard if he will get his job back
    PRIMARY CILIARY DYSKINESIA
    • Grandmother, Mother, Brother, and 1 cousin have
    genetic disorder called primary ciliary dyskinesia 
    • Causes cilia in lungs and sinuses to be either
    immobilized or to function improperly 
    • Results are very poor immune systems and
    constant sinus infections 
    • Lots of time spent in hospitals as a young girl
    with these family members
    GRAMMY
    • I was extremely close with my Grammy 
    • Made me who I am today
    • Grandma passed away in September 2018 at the age of
    59 due to a build up of all her health problems
    • Got my first and only tattoo to honor her memory

    PASSION FOR EDUCATION AND
    CHILDREN
    I have always been a mother hen
    everywhere I go. I have always
    loved babies and children, in
    general. I love seeing the effect
    that educators can have on a
    child’s life. I cannot wait to begin
    teaching and make a difference in
    the education community.
