BACKGROUND
OF THE
THEORIST
Dr. Carmelita A. Divinagracia is a
Master of Nursing in 1975
 Graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing at
University of the East Ramon Magsaysay
Memorial Medical Center in 1962
 Ph. D in Nursing at University of the
Philippines in 2001
 Was the former president of the Association
of Deans of Philippine Colleges of Nursing.
 She is also a member of CHED’s Technical
Committee on Nursing Education

 She received her doctoral degree holder in


2001, has been lauded for developing the
art and competency of teaching nursing.
 She lectured and written about her work as
a nurse and how she has used her hands-
on experience to develop better ways to
teach nursing.
 Her love for nursing and her
dedication to carve out learning tools
for nursing students, has been a
commendable and rare field of
discipline
 As a teacher, she could not be anything
else but a perfect thesis adviser
 She has teamed up with the
Commission on higher Education for
the drafting of higher standard of
competency in nursing schools in the
Philippines.

Objective and Significance
of the Study
 The study mainly attempted to
determine the effects of the
“COMPOSURE” behavior of the
Advance Nurse Practitioner on the
wellness outcome of the selected
cardiac patients.
The study population consisted
of Adult Cardiac Patients
admitted and confined at the
Philippine Heart Center,
Coronary Care Unit.

A BACHELOR OF

Licensed and has a clinical
experience of at least 2 years in
the clinical area.

COMPOSURE BEHAVIORS
Are set of behaviors or nursing
measures that the nurse
demonstrates to selected cardiac
patients.

CONCLUSION
The socio-demographic
characteristics, specifically
gender and age are related to
the wellness outcome of adult
cardiac patients
A significant difference exists in
the pretest and posttest scores
of the wellness outcome after
the COMPOSURE BEHAVIOR
intervention in the 3-groups
APPLICATION OF
THE THEORY IN
METAPRADIGMS
The nursing profession can
actively deliver quality care
through bio-behavioral caring
interventions like the
COMPOSURE BEHAVIOR
because regardless of creed,
social class, gender, age and
nationality, each one needs
humane, caring, spiritulality-
oriented intervention that can
facilitate wellness
