THE NOBEL PRIZE IN
PHYSICS 1921
IN MEMORY OF ALBERT EINSTEIN
HE MARRIED MILEVA MARIC IN 1903 AND THEY HAVE A DAUGHTER AND TWO SONS; THEIR
MARRIAGE WAS DISSOLVED IN 1919 AND IN THE SAME YEAR HE MARRIED HIS COUSIN, ELSA
LOWENTHAL, WHO DIED IN 1936.
HE GAINED NUMEROUS AWARDS IN RECOGNITION OF HIS WORK,
INCLUDING THE COPLEY MEDAL OF THE ROYAL SOCIETY OF LONDON IN
1925 AND THE FRANKLIN MEDAL OF THE FRANKLIN INSTITUTE IN 1935.
SCHOOL FAILED ME, AND I FAILED THE SCHOOL. IT BORED ME. THE TEACHERS
BEHAVED LIKE FELDWEBEL (SERGEANTS). I WANTED TO LEARN WHAT I WANTED
TO KNOW, BUT THEY WANTED ME TO LEARN FOR THE EXAM.(EINSTEIN AND THE
POET. 1983)
SPECIAL THEORY OF RELATIVITY
THE CORE OF HIS THEORY OF RELATIVITY IS THAT:
“I DON´T KNOW HOW THE THIRD WORLD WAR WILL BE FOUGTH, BUT I CAN TELL
YOU WHAT THEY WILL USE IN THE FOURTH—ROCKS”
EINSTEIN DIED IN 1955, AT HIS REQUEST HIS BRAIN AND VITAL ORGANS WERE
REMOVED FOR SCIENTIFIC STUDY.
