• If the simple form of the verb has one syllabe and ends in consonant, vowel,
consonaunt. Double the last letter and add – ing.
• JOG = JOGGING = HE IS JOGGING IN THE PARK.

• If the simple form of the verb ends in + ie change – ie- to –y- aund add – ing.
• TIE = TYING
• UNTIE = UNTYING
• If the simple form of the verb eds in a stressed or ( occented) syllable
double the last leffer and add – ing.
• Begin/ bi´gin / beginning.
• For all other verbs add – ing.
