MINERAL RESOURCES
• Mineral resources are natural resources.
• It include metals (e.g. iron, copper, and aluminum), and non-metals (e.g.
salt, gypsum, clay, sand, phosphates).
• As regards its availability, the stock of minerals are finite and are non
renewable
Use of Minerals
Nitrogen, Sulphur, Potassium and 10 to 100 million metric ton per year
Calcium
Zinc, copper, aluminium and led 3 to 10 million metric ton per year
• Recycling
• Development of efficient technology
• Designing smaller equipment's
• Substitute minerals
