“Matud Nila” “They Say”
Matud nila ako dili angay, The say I am not fit
Nga magmanggad sa imong gugma, To ask for your love
Matud nila ikaw dili malipay, They say you will not be happy
Kai wa ako’y bahanding sa imo igasa. Because I have no treasure to give you

Gugmang putli mao day paslig, Pure love is all I can offer you
Maoy bahanding labaw sa bulawan, It is a treasure more precious than gold
Matud nila kaanugon lamang, They say it is such a waste
Sa imong gugma ug parayeg, Of your love and endearment

Dili malubha kinig pagbati This feeling will not fade

Bisan sa unsa pay bili ning kinabuhi For whatever reason
Kon sa gugma mo hinikawan For what is the worth of this life
If deprived of your love?
Igna ko nga dili ka matuo
Sa mga pagtamay kong naangkon Tell me that you do not believe
Igna ko ng dili mo kawangon The critiicisms about me
Damgo ko’g pasalig sa gugma mo Tell me that you will not let this chance
pass
The dream and assurance of true love.
